Manic Monday. Oh wait, it's Tuesday!

Gosh, it's only Tuesday. Blah! I'm downright tired this morning. January has been a terribly busy month here at the Silvers household. We've had birthdays, parties, visits to Chuck E Cheese, sleepovers, dentist appointments, and just the personal time together. I'm exhausted.

Yesterday our oldest daughter got braces. Well, technically she got the top braces. She goes back in 10 weeks for the bottoms. She did very well yesterday and looks cute with her braces, but I sure did hate writing that $800 upfront payment check to the orthodontist. LOL! In only 24 monthly payments she'll have the most gorgeous, straight teeth. :-)

Then of course it'll be the middle daughter's turn.

We'll be paying the ortho for the next six years if all three girls go one right after the other. I *might* get a break between the second and third child, but we'll see. That's genetics for ya! Tim & I both had braces. Hell, I still had mine on when we married nearly 15 years ago.

However, all of that isn't the cause of my exhaustion this morning. Tim and I have enjoyed a lot of alone time together lately. Not always doing what's going through your head at the moment. LOL!! We were up 'til after midnight last night and the last hour was just chit-chatting in the darkness. He had to get up at 5:30 this morning and I at 6:00. He's already informed me via text message this morning that he's tired. LOL! Poor guy. At least I can stay home for my job.

I'll be glad when this month is over. We usually try to take a weekend trip with the kids some time in February. I'm sooooo ready for that this year. I'll have to check to see what week the kids have off for "mid-winter break".

Okay, I'm just rambling now. Here's a pic from our oldest yesterday, before I forget, and I'm off. Have a fabulous Tuesday, if you aren't too tired to enjoy it! And if you are too tired, I hope that your tiredness is at least from doing something fun. ;-)

Thursdays are great days!

There's just something about Thursday. The week isn't quite over, but it's over enough to shout, "Yay, it's Thursday!" I like Thursdays. Tomorrow is Friday--my busy errands day--and the day I get to spend with the hubby.

Tim use to work what's called "Four Tens". Meaning he worked four days a week for ten hours a day. He was always off on Fridays and we'd have the best time. We would only have the youngest with us, so we could easily run my weekly errands and then go out for lunch together. We'd spend all day together. It was nice.

Then his work decided to change them all back to five day a week and we lost our Fridays together, basically alone (yes, when you have 3 kids and only 1 is home, you are basically alone. LOL).

NOW..... his work changed them back to four tens!! Tomorrow is his first Friday off. Woohoo! I don't know if it'll last, but I'm definitely going to enjoy our time while we have it.

Hmmm, once the four year old goes to school in August 2010, I may not get anything done on Fridays if Tim's home. We may not even leave the house! *wink, wink* LOL! I can't believe it's almost time to think about my days without any children home. That's just a fantastical scenario to consider... yet it's just around the proverbial corner, isn't it? Wow!

On a different note, thank you to all who voted on A Twilight Abduction yesterday. I hope that you'll pass it on if you know anyone who'd like to vote. I appreciate all the comments, emails, and shows of support from everyone. I know I can always count on a wonderful group of friends, family, and fans to help a gal out. :-)

Alright, I guess I better go. I heard the dryer stop and my warm, soft, cozy Egyptian Cotton sheets are calling my name. Too bad it's only to put them back on the bed instead of climbing between them for the rest of the day. LOL!

Have a beautiful Thursday!

The last of Thanksgiving.

Today the last of the leftovers from last week's Thanksgiving feast exited my refigerator. The turkey was gone last Friday, but a few goodies still lingered. I'm glad they're gone, and before they started smelling bad. LOL! It won't be long before the Christmas leftovers will be hanging out in there!

Yesterday I finally forced the kids to sit still for a few minutes so I could take pictures for this year's holiday card. I decided not to do a whole famil thing this year--I just wasn't feeling it. So it's just the kids this time.

After about twenty pictures and numerous "sit up straight" comments, this one turned out to be my favorite...

So this morning I finally placed the late order for our cards. Luckily I'll be picking them up at the local CVS rather than waiting on them to arrive in the mail and then trying to send them out on time. Usually I'm already mailing cards out by now. For some reason I'm running behind this year though.

Well, it appears that I'm back to abut 99% healthy now. I still have a little cough, but that's tolerable for now. I hate getting sick. Some people can just bounce right back and keep going--not I! It takes days of feeling rough before I even start to feel human again. And I hate taking meds. So if you see me taking anything I must be feeling pretty darn bad.

Now that I'm feeling better I'm starting to look forward to Christmas. This year I'm making he hubby pick out my gift all by himself. In all the years we've been married, he's only chosen my gift alone on our first Christmas. After that it was always me pointing and saying, "I want that." Not this year. I want to be surpised. I want to see if he knows as much about me after 15 yrs as I know about him. I can already tell that he's having trouble as he keeps whining about needing hints or a list. LOL! Poor guy. I torture him so. LOL!

Alrighty, I'm off to fold some laundry and compile a Christmas card list. Hav a fabulous Wednesday!

It's Sunday.

I'm happy to say that I did manage to finish all the book edits before tomorrow. LOL! Now I can move on to the next stage of development first thing tomorrow. YAY!

This new week will bring about some exciting things for me. ATwilight Abduction will finally be moved into the rotation for its Halloween release. I can't believe that it's almost Halloween already.

The hubby and I will be running off to Charlotte, NC in October, too. He's gotten tickets for the Nascar race on October 11th, so he's counting down the days until then. We're sitting at 27 days today... or though he says. LOL!

I don't care anything for the races, but it is fun to be away from home with no children in tow.

I've been feeling a bit blah this weekend, so I'm hoping that will go away in the new week. It could just be that the husband is annoying me this weekend. LOL! He's on a Resident Evil 4 kick and I can't get him off the PS2 so anyone else can enjoy a tv show, or something. Nope, he's glued to this game and gets so annoyed when his character dies. It pretty much just annoys me and I can't get any work done when he's whopping and hollering at the tv.

Soooo, thank goodness for Monday tomorrow. I'm ready for a new week, and some peace and quiet.

Thankfully, True Blood comes on tonight! YAY! At least I'll have an hour of good, old, vampire lovin'!

My Passion!

Your Passion is Red!

You've got that spark - a good dose of intensity, power, and determination.

You do whatever you want in life ... to hell with what anyone thinks!

With so many interests and loves, you're always running around doing something new.

You have fire in your eyes, and it shows. Bet you're even wearing something red!

Yep, I'd have to say that sounds just like me. I'm always running around doing something new and a bit intense while doing so. I've always been that way. Whatever project I'm currently working on is my most favorite thing in the whole wide world.... until the next brand new project that I'm working on. LOL!

Yes, yes *nodding* I will do exactly what I want to do, and to hell with what other's think about it. I've even been known to actually tell someone to their face that I don't care what their opinion is of me. Makes you curious about how many times the hubby has heard that over the last 15 yrs, doesn't it? LOL!!

Ok, that's it for today. I really need to get to work on the 5 chapters I plan to edit today. Maybe I should drink a Coke and get a dose of caffeine to get me started.

How many chapters are you going to write?

That is the question that my husband asked me today. I was working on chapter 5 of my book and my husband asks me "How many chapters are you going to write?". How do you answer that? I simply said, "As many as it takes to finish my story. That could be 20 or it could be 50. I just don't know." His next statement was, "Oh goodness! That's going to be a big book!". Then I had to explain that the size of a book doesn't depend on the number of chapters. It's how long those chapters are that makes the difference. LOL!! He's killing me slowly, I do believe.

So how do you explain to someone who has never written anything more than a note saying, "I'm going to the store. Be back later. Love, Tim"? Am I the only writer who doesn't go into a storyline knowing how many chapters it will end up? Surely I'm not. I'll end up with however many chapters it takes to feel like my book is completed and I've taken the characters as far as I want to take them.

Hopefully, eventually, he will realize that this isn't as easy as I make it look. Heaven knows I love him though. :-)
