It hasn't been a busy day.

After yesterday's flurry of activity, today was as far from that as possible. I woke up to rain, clouds, wind, and cool temps. It was the kind of day that's made for laying in bed all day.

I wasted the day by watching "The Happening," chatting online, playing on Plurk, and teaching the 3yr old how to use a computer mouse. You can read about her internet gaming meltdown here.

The big girls are now out of school until next Tuesday. I have no idea why. Luckily the in-laws decided to take the two older girls for the night (after confirming with me that they were indeed out of school tomorrow). So now it's pretty quiet... if the 3 yr old would stop begging for dinner when it's nowhere near dinner time.

I did manage to read several more chapters in "Undead and Unworthy" by MaryJanice Davidson. She's one of my favorites. I should be done with this book by Friday and then no more reading while I get started on the writing of my next book.

I don't know if I'll be able to post again until next week. I have a frantically busy few days coming up and with the kids being home... well, lets just say, think happy thoughts for my sanity over the next five days. LOL! Thank goodness Tim & I will be out of town Saturday!

Until next time...

It's finally Friday!

Gosh, this week just drug by sooooo slowly. I didn't think Friday would ever get here. Sheesh!

We have 8 days until we leave for vacation and everyone is getting so excited. We leave out on July 5th and return on the 12th. We'll be sunning it up on the beach of Tybee Island, GA. I can't wait. I need a break soooo badly. Apparently the kids do too because they are at each others' throats constantly this week.

I usuall run around to do my weekly errands on Fridays, but the kids were being soooo bad this morning that I refused to ake them to town with me. I went to my grandmother's to pick up some plants she had set out for me and then we went to the library. That's it. I brought them right back home and will not be going to town to get groceries, and such, until their daddy comes home from work. They gave me such a migraine yesterday with their bullshit that I'm just flat out refusing to do it today.

Last night I took some Tylenol PM and passed out by 11:30pm. I'm usually up until 1am when there's no school to get up early for. But with that migraine I needed extra sleep. I was literally drugged out by 11:30. I was walking sideways and wondered if that's what a drunk felt like (since I've never been more than tipsy before). LOL! But boy didI sleep good last night. I didn't even wake up when Tim left for work at 5am.

Then, of course, I was awakened by screams, squeals, and arguments at 7:30am. UGH! Hmmm, maybe I should look for a damn bootcamp or something. LOL!

Anyway, that's my Friday, thus far. I hope Tim gets off work early and one of the grandparents decides they'd like to be tormented by these children tonight. LOL

I hope you're having a better day!! Happy Friday!

Thursday Thirteen for the summertime!

Good morning to all of you beautiful people out there. I hope that you're doing well this morning and the bright rays of the sun are shining down warmly upon you. Was that too sappy? Yeah, I thought so. LOL! How's this.... Get up off your lazy ass and go do something! It's only Thursday for goodness sakes! ;-) Too harsh?

This morning I'm in a fiesty mood. Can you tell? The kids are now out of school for the summer and I fully expect to have a migraine by the end of the day. But before all of that begins, how about my Thursday Thirteen?

This week's topic is:

Thirteen Things I Plan to Do This Summer

1. Play in the pool.
2. Get a lovely tan.
3. Read a book that I'm not writing.
4. Write a book that's not finished.
5. Have a thriving vegetable garden.
6. Not yank all my hair out by the roots.
7. Not go gray from the constant bickering (that's what my red hair dye is for).
8. Go on vacation in 1 month. YAY for the beach!!!!
9. Not get sunburned at the beach.
10. Get cuddly (read: get laid) with the hubby while on vacation.
11. Look forward to school starting in August.
12. Have my cover designer create the cover for the next book that's scheduled for release in October.
13. Just be me. I love the summertime. I'm a sun-lover and absolutely adore the longer, warmer days.

See? I'm in a fiesty mood, especially after realizing what I wrote for #10. LOL!! Hopefully I won't go insane while the kids are home. I swear that the older they get the more difficult it is for them to not fight, bicker, argue, scream, complain, etc. They are at each others' throats all the time. But I have a few tricks up my sleeves when the fighting starts this year. There's this job that no one likes to do called... WEEDING! And now that my oldest has learned to mow the grass, that will be another punishment I can use. YAY! Lawncare that I don't have to perform, here they come! HA HA, punks!

They're cuties, but behind those smiles you'll find some little demons cackling it up as mommy slowly goes senile. ;-)

Here's to having a sane Thursday and a fun weekend to come. Til next time....
