Another fabulous day in the works.

Morning all!  Welcome to Tuesday.  Today is going to be another fabulous day around here.  Why?  Because I said so!  Yes, that's the Mom in me showing through. LOL!

Yesterday I stated that this would be a great, productive week, and I was absolutely correct.  Yesterday was one of the most productive days I've had in a while.  I ended up writing 2 articles, editing 3 book chapters, doing numerous household chores, throwing dinner into the Crock-Pot, and even spending time with the kids and Tim.  The day ended with me feeling very accomplished and looking forward to today.

Today will be another good day, but we have a meeting to attend at 8:30am before I can get to my own work.  I'm hoping to be back home by 9:30 or 10 am, and then I can get started on today's article and book edits.  *Fingers Crossed*  Determination makes all the difference when it comes to getting work done and living by a positive attitude and outlook.  :-)

I realized yesterday that it's nearly time to start thinking about this year's NaNoWriMo contest.  Ack!  I can't believe it's nearly November.  I'm not sure that I want to even consider it this year.  But if I don't do it I'll wish I had.  I already have a 2 year winning streak and would hate to miss year 3.

My biggest concern is getting Time For Death finished before beginning another big project.  I'm a one project at a time kind of woman.  I like to finish one before starting another.  However, if I get Time For Death done, then I'll be ready to start book two in this new series, and NaNo would be a great time to start it.  Eek!  So much to consider!

Ask me again in exactly 1 month and I promise to have a yes or no answer for ya.  LOL.  :-)

Well it's time for me to go get changed and take the kids to school.  Have a great day!

Good morning. :-)

Morning all.  As you can see, I've been a busy, busy girl!  I worked on both the blog and the website yesterday for several hours.  The website is basiclly finished, but I still have a lot of work here on the blog.  Things are coming together though.

What do you think of the new header banner?  My wonderful, bestest, and most talented friend (and cover designer), Mis, created it for me yesterday.  She always does a fabulous job and I love everything she makes for me. *Smooches*
Today we would normally be going for a visit to the in-laws' house.  However, Tim and I hav decided that we will no longer be going down every single Sunday.  We've been doing that since the day we married and we're just tired of it.  We don't go see my mom every week.  Sheesh!

So now we're reclaiming some of our Sundays to spend with our kids and enjoy doing our own things.  Our livesjust get busier and busier with each passing year and we definitely need this extra day.

I have a few loads of laundry to wash, steaks to marinade for grilling at dinnertime, and more blog work to do.  Tim's still in bed, but the kids are awake and making noise, so he'll be up soon.  LOL.

Yesterday morning Tim and I watched Crank 2 before the kids came home.  Oh geez, that movie sucked big time.  We enjoyed the first one when it came out, but this one was absolutely horrible.  Sure there are some funny parts, decent action, and of course Jason Statham is a hottie, but the overall storyline was utterly ridiculous.  Even Tim was saying it blows.  That was a disappointment.

After the movie disappointment, we picked up the kids and went to Lowes for a new sheet of subflooring.  We had a place in the laundryroom that needed to be replaced, so we worked on that for a little while and then put some of those peel-&-stick linoleum tiles in the space until we decide what kind of hardwood flooring we want in there.  At least the floor is fixed though.  :-)

Okay, I'm off for today.  Time to make some breakfast and spend time with the girls.  Have a great day!

Well, it's not raining this Monday morning.

Good morning all! Welcome to the start of a brand new week. I soooo did not want to get up this morning. I was sleeping fairly well when the alarm clock went off for Tim. Then thirty minutes later I had to get up too. Blah!

Even though I didn't want to get up, it has already been a fairly productive morning. I cleaned up my bedroom a bit, vaccumed it, stripped the bed & washed the sheets, cleaned up the kitchen, swept the floor, and all of that before I took the kids to school. After I got back from doing that I foded a load of towels that were drying when I went to bed last night, fed the four year old, and am now watching Friday's Prison Break episode on the DVR while doing this entry.

Whew! And I've only been awake for an hour and a half!

I still have lots to do today though. I need to take some trash off, do some writing, wash some curtains, work on some outline work that I started yesterday, and a few other random things here and there. It's still soooo wet outside from all the weekend rain that I won't be able to do anything out there today. Oh, and I need to do my daily workout in a little bit. That always makes me feel perky! :-)

Tim seemed to be doing well this morning. He went on to work and appeared to be walking normally when he kissed me good-bye. He'll be texting me in a little bit, so I'll find out for sure at that time. Luckily, he hasn't had much swelling and hasn't had any bruising at all. The incisions are small and healing nicely. And, well, we discovered that certain body parts still work properly. LOL! It was totally HIS idea, even though the doctor "suggested" waiting a week. LOL! He was paying for that a bit yesterday. LOL. Poor guy.

Well, I better get going. It's time to get my exercise done so that I can get into today's writing projects. Have a fabulous week!

Happy 33rd Birthday, Baby!

Today is my dear hubby's 33rd birthday!!!

Friday night the girls went to my mom's house, so Tim and I grilled out steaks and made baked potatoes, and drank a lot of alcohol. LOL! We had a great time! We didn't go to bed until after midnight that night. I was quite tipsy, to say the least.

Then yesterday Tim decided that it was a great work-around-the-house day. He was sooooo busy. He worked on the laundryroom floor (a dog we use to have actually tried to dig his way out of the back door), fixed a loose railing on the front porch, and even changed the brakes on my van (YAY!!). He was on busy guy.

I, on the other hand, spent most of yesterday doing six loads of laundry, nursing a headache (no, not alcohol related. LOL!), and helping Tim whenever he needed me to. We later had to go out because the youngest had left her toothbrush at Mom's house and Tim wanted more Corona's from the liquor store.

Oh, and I made my loving man his birthday cake. He wanted it yesterday instead of today. :-)

Today, we'll be off to visit the in-laws and have lunch with them. We'll go out for lunch most likely because they always take us out for our birthdays. Who knows where that'll be. Hopefully somewhere that I can get a good salad though.

Anyway, it's raining today, but we've had a few gorgeous days so I can forgive Mother Nature for today. Nonetheless, it's my baby's birthday so.....

3 Weeks & 2 Days

That's all that remains in summer break for my older girls. YAY! School starts back on August 6th and I can't wait! The girls are driving me batty so I keep chanting "3 weeks, 2 days... 3 weeks, 2 days... 3 weeks, 2 days".

Other than that, I'm busy this week. We are planning a huge yard sale for Friday and Saturday. This is the yard sale where I finally, after all these years, sell all of our baby stuff... highchair, baby swing, bouncy seat, car seats, receiving blankets, and even those tiny little newborn onesies. I have a ton of stuff to get rid of.

Also, Saturday is my middle daughter's birthday, so we'll be having her party around dinnertime. Last year she had a SuperGirl theme, but this year she doesn't want any sort of theme. All she's worried about are her gifts. LOL!

Well, I'm out. I have dinner to cook and writing to do for the rest of the day. Have a great week everyone!

That sucks!!

Well, last night I sat here and tapped outa nice medium sized entry. Then I hit the publish button and up popped a Blogger error and my post was GONE! As you can tell, I didn't even try to rewrite it. :-(

Don't worry, you just missed a little ranting about misbehaving children and a little happiness over getting a little work done (an article and almost another chapter done in the next book). I guess from now on I'll have to make sure to copy my entries BEFORE I hit the publish button. That way I can just go back and paste it right back in. LOL.

Today I have the children working. They wanted to be brats yesterday, so today is a work day for them. Right now they are cleaning up around the house outside and it's so peaceful in here. Of course they are probably just playing with the kittens we have out there, but I don't care as long as they stay out of my hair for a while. Ahhh the joys of living in the woods with no neighbors. LOL!

First full week...

So this is the first full week of all three kids being home for the summer. It hasn't been too awful bad. But then again, I contribute that to me putting them to work. LOL!

I've had them cleaning house, folding laundry, cleaning the dog crate, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, etc. Monday they were so busy with chores that I didn't hear them argue a single time. WOW! So yesterday, as reward, I let the older two play in the pool for as long as they wanted (after I made them help clean it, lol). They stayed in the pool for about 4 hours before dragging their tired behinds in for a late lunch. They haven't even asked to go swimming today. LOL

Today I haven't asked them to do too much. They've watched cartoons, played on the computer, read some books, and just goofed off. That is until the older two started fighting over who's turn it was to play with the laptop (the old, one of course). So I popped the network card right out and walked away. Now no one can play on the internet. HA!

Now I hear the sound of an abandoned Spongebob playing on the tv in my room, while the younger two are outside the front door playing with our 1 month old litter of kittens (we have a cat-whore who gives a litter twice a year). The oldest is puffed up about the computer, so she's in her room reading a book. I don't care as long as I can enjoy this silence.

I have to say that with their annoying attitudes (at moments), I'm still enjoying sleeping late. Of course, by the time August rolls around I'll be begging for 6am wake-up calls just to get them back to school. LOL!

On to a different topic, I'm happy to say that my writer's block is slowly crumbling away into dust! I wrote TWO articles today. YAY! I was only going to write one this WEEK, but ended up with two today. Now I'll work on the two book chapters I have scheduled to write this week. Too bad it's already Wednesday... the days fly by quickly when you don't climb out of bed until 9am. ;-)

Well, I guess that's all for today. The younger two have come back inside and are now fighting over a toy. Sheesh! Check back tomorrow for my Thursday Thirteen, of which I still don't know the topic.

Have a great Hump Day!!

I'm bored...

Yes, I *should* be working on my book edits, but I'm not in the mood. I created a to-do list on Sunday, for all the things that I wanted/needed to get done this week. I've done them ALLLL, except the one at the top of the list that states "Edit 5 chapters each day".

Monday, I finished all 5 chapters. Tuesday, I got caught up chatting online with my friend, Mis. I went to bed still needing to finish 1 1/2 of Tuesday's chapters. Here it is, nearly noon, on Wednesday and I haven't even started on today's chapters OR the leftover ones from yesterday. LOL.

Yet, I'm bored. My house is clean. Lunch has been served. Laundry is washed. I even cleaned the girls' bathroom AND two ceiling fans.

I have an hour and a half before I have to go pick the big girls up at school. So, I *should* be working. But, I'm not. I'm watching Rachel Ray and playing online. LOL!

While I'm goofing off, my friend Mis made me two little goodies last night. These are what she calls "stamps" and are, apparently, all the rage. LOL!

Anyone who likes them, and would like to use them, is welcome to take them to add to your website. If you are linking them, please link to http://www.christiesilvers.com or this blog http://christiesilvers.blogspot.com .

If you do use them, please leave me a message and let me know where you're using the stamps. I'd love to see!! :-)

Ok, I'm leaving. I guess I better get to work. I can at least get the leftover chapters from yesterday done. I'll be back tomorrow with this week's Thursday Thirteen! I haven't decided what the topic will be yet, but there WILL be a topic. LOL!

Have a great Hump Day!
