Welcome to March.

Good morning!  Here we are entering yet another new month that happens to line up on a Monday.  I've always thought of that as a great way to start a month.  Get the first Monday out of the way and move on.  Of course, it could be that I like months beginning on Mondays because payday on the second Wednesday of the month comes even quicker.  LOL.

I spent the weekend working and spending time with the family.  Tim & I had Friday night to ourselves with the girls at my mom's house.  We spent it at home making dinner, watching movies, drinking, and having a great time together.  We even slept until 9am the next morning.  Talk about nice!

Saturday we cleaned house, did laundry, cleaned the car, and spent the day with the kids.

Sunday, boy, Sunday was interesting.  The in-laws were out of town for the weekend, meaning we didn't have to go anywhere.  I spent most of the day working on formatting Time For Death.  Decisions have been made, plans are being worked through, and I'm feeling quite optimistic about this new book series.  I know Liz will be glad that I'm moving forward with her life.  LOL.

Speaking of good new.  My March newsletter will go out to al subscribers on Wednesday morning.  I'll be making a fun announcement in it that I hope may people will take advantage of. Don't miss it! (Click here to sign up)

As a way to prepare for new things, I did a little updating to the website over the weekend.  Mainly just some organization and moving things around.  During the work, I was thinking about moving this blog over to the website.  What do you think?  It would take me some time to get it set up, but at least then the blog would be right where everything else is at.  Let me know what you think ---->  (Survey link)

All right, time for me to get going.  Tim took the kids to school, I've already fed the youngest and folded two loads of laundry, and it's time for my breakfast before getting back to work for Liz.  She's quite demanding at times, and now that I'm ready to finish her first story she's even more demanding.  LOL!

Have a great Monday!

It's going to be a good week.

Time for another Monday.  I did not want to get up this morning.  My eyes seemed to be rejecting my contacts for the first 20 minutes. "Noooo, go back to sleep," they shouted.  As much as I would've enjoyed going back to bed, it is a school day and that wasn't a possibility.

So up I came, bounding through the house to share my unbridled joy of a new week with the kids.  I was greeted with grunts and groans, as well as a sentiment of, "I don't want to" from the teenager when told to wake up.  I did ultimately manage to wake everyone from their slumber and send Tim off with two of them for a day of education.

Just four more days of school and the kids will be out for mid-winter break next week.  Didn't they just go back from Christmas holidays?  Nonetheless, they will be out of school all next week, and we're planning a camping trip for that week.  Should be fun as long.  :-)

However, we're just beginning this week.  I have phone calls to make, errands to run, writing to do, attention to give, an Open House at the elementary school to attend, and the teenager has a Quiz Bowl meet on Wednesday.  It'll be a busy week, but I have a feeling that it will be a good one.  At least there aren't any doctor/dentist appointments. LOL.

Well, I better go.  The youngest is begging for breakfast and declaring that she'll just get the eggs down out of the fridge then.  Sheesh!  Such impatience.  I'm off to make toast and eggs.  Have a wonderful Monday, and don't forget about Excerpt Tuesday tomorrow.  It's time for A Birth at Dawn!

Happy Monday Morning

Good morning ladies and gents! It's that time of the week again... the start of a new one.  What will you accomplish this week? What plans do you consider do-able? Will you end the week feeling like you've made the best of it?  I hope we all reach our weekly goals and come out unscathed.  :-)

This is another busy week around my house.  Of course, when isn't it a busy one around here?  LOL.  The girls have their routine dental cleaning this afternoon.  I have writing to do, phone calls to make, and Tim has a job interview to go to!!  Woohoo!  Fingers crossed that things go well for him.

I'm also making plans (and reservations) for a camping trip that we'll be taking th week of February 15th.  The kids will be out of school that week, so we figured we'd go away.  Luckily, my kind of camping is in a heated RV with all the amenities of home--bathroom, heat, a/c, running water, tv, stove, fridge, and Wi-Fi!  I don't camp any other way.  ;-)  I'm a hotel kind of girl, so you can forget about getting me to sleep in a tent.  No way, no how!

It's non-stop around here, but I wouldn't know what to do with myself if it wasn't.  As a side note, I post a lot throughout the week on my Facebook page.  It holds more details about my day-to-day life than anywhere else on the web.  If you aren't already a friend, feel free to pop on over and send me a request.  :-)

Yesterday I spent some time and got the February issue of my newsletter ready and scheduled.  It'll go out on Wednesday.  For those who don't know, my newsletter goes out once a month, the first Wednesday of the month, and the subscriber list is ONLY used for that purpose. If you're interested in becoming a subscriber, stop by and sign up.  If you sign up before Wednesday you'll receive this month's newsletter.

Tomorrow I'll be starting Excerpt Tuesday.  Over the next three weeks I'll be sharing an excerpt from each of my Alex & Fiona books.  Here is the schedule:

Feb. 2, 2010: A Midnight Infatuation
Feb. 9, 2010: A Birth at Dawn
Feb. 16, 2010: A Twilight Abduction

I hope you'll stop by and check it out.  For those of you that have read my books, feel free to share what your favorite scene was from any of the books.  I like hearing from readers and love knowing what parts they liked the best.  :-)

Okay, I'm out for today.  Time to go throw some laundry in the dryer and start another washer load.  Have a lovely day and welcome to February!

The last week of January.

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to another Monday morning.  This one leads us out of January and into a new month.  How has the month been for you?  Have you stuck to your New Year's Resolutions, or have they fallen by the wayside with the rush of everyday life?

I don't make resolutions, but I do make yearly goals.  I seem to be right on track for my yearly goals, so I call the month a success.  Of course, that's "business" goals I'm talking about.  I don't consider Tim being in the hospital any kind of success.  However, it has brought him over to my healthy eating side.  Bwahaha!  Welcome to the dark side, my dear!  LOL!  I still can't get him to even consider tasting my veggie sausage though.  All in time, honey.  All in time...  *wink*

Since I'm talking about business goals, I've been asked by many if I've heard from the New York editor who has Time For Death in her hands.  I have not, but she did say that it would get read in January, and there's still a week left in January.  LOL.  There's no telling when I'll hear back, but I will be moving forward with my plans in a couple of weeks whether I hear back from her, or not.  I'm sure I'll hear back before that day comes though.  Fingers crossed for good things.  Think happy thoughts for your lovely friend, Christie!  ;-)

This week is a week of no appointments at all.  I'm relieved after all the appointments we've had this month already.  Next week, on February 1st, the kids have their dental cleaning, and then that's it!  No more check-ups for anything until the next orthodontist appointment.

Oh, did I mention that the girls had their yearly pediatrician check-up last week?  All the kids are perfectly healthy, with no problems whatsoever.  Yay!  The youngest ended up getting 3 shots in the legs and a skin test on her arm.  Unfortunately, they were out of the MMR vaccine and since it has to be given with the chicken pox vaccine or a month after, I have to take her back next month to get it.  We had to hold her down for the 3 she got last week, and I'm sure we'll have to do that again for the next one too.

All in all, everyone is happy, healthy and immunized against the bad stuff out there.  :-)

All right, that's it for today.  I'm going to attempt to get some work done.  Easier said than done with Tim constantly wanting my attention.  He's worse that the kids these days with wanting my undivided attention.  The man definitely needs a new job soon.  Boy, I hope this economy picks up soon.  LOL.

Have a great Monday!

Mondays can be fun days.

Yes, really, they can...  Well, if you try really hard to make them fun days.  LOL.  Good morning all.  Welcome to another brand new week.  Each one really is full of all sorts of potential.  You never know what'll happen or where you'll end up when Friday rolls around.  You can choose to make the best of it, or you can choose to grumble and find disappointment in the world.  Me, well I'm normally a very optimistic kind of gal, so I like to see the best in the world around me.  So, YAY, it's a new week!  ;-)

It's just after 8 a.m. here right now and I've already taken the kids to school, started the dishwasher, washed two loads of laundry, fixed the 4 year old a bowl of strawberries, and ate a banana myself.  Oh, and I also applied online for a new job for Tim.  And yes, even though he's still in bed, he knew I was going to do it for him.  LOL.

Next week will mark him being without a job for three months.  And, well, it seems that three months is my limit for him being home 24/7, underfoot all the time, and interrupting my daily work routine.  He's slowly "getting" it, and realizing that my day life doesn't revolve around him.  I have much too much to do each day to worry about him--a grown man--and whether or not he's bored or hungry or anything.  LOL.  He's learning, but I'd still like to get him back to work... or at least outside for a while each day.

So anyway, it's the last week of October!  I have this last week before starting the first draft of my next book.  I'm super excited about this next story and can't wait to jump into it.  I've been mentally trying out opening scenes and trying to decide where I'd like to begin the story.  I think I've decided that Liz will open the story in Atlanta.  Should be a nice spot to start book two (beta readers of book one will agree).

Once November is over--and I have book 2's first draft complete--I'll go back to book 1, make a few changes, go over it a few more times, and then finally work on getting the proposal written up and sent off to agents.  Once that's out of the way, I can go back to book 2 or revisions, rewrites, and all that jazz.  Hopefully by the time I'm done with book 2 the first one will be accepted and I'll have acquired a lovely new agent.  *Fingers Crossed*

Then it'll be time for book 3.  LOL!  It never stops...  But then again, why would I want it to?  It's so much fun!  :-D

Okay, before I go for today, I want to ask my lovely readers to do one little thing for me.  Would you be so kind as to stop by and become a member of the website?  It only takes a moment, and it'll be well worth the trouble in the future when I get everything (including the blog) moved over to the website.  I'll eventually only be posting everything--news, contests, blog entries, etc.--over there and would hate for anyone to miss out.

So come on by and become a member of ChristieSilvers.com.  Just click the link & click the button "Join Site" on the members page.

Tomorrow I'll be sharing photos of the girls carving their Halloween pumpkin yesterday.  It turned out very good!

Have a great Monday.  *Smooches*

Time to start a new week.

Morning all.  *Yawn*  I'm tired this morning; would have definitely preferred a few more hours when that alarm clock went off.

Well, we made it back from Charlotte yesterday afternoon.  It was soooooo cold up there this year.  Usually when  go it's warm in the day and cool once the sun goes down and the race begins.  Not this year.  It was downright COLD during the daylight hours and freezing when the sun went down and the race began.

I was a frozen Christie-Pop!

I was shivering so hard and for so long that my entire body hurt when we left (which was before the race ended cause Tim couldn't take the cold anymore either).  We went back to the hotel and I took a 20 minute scalding hot shower... took that long for my legs to not feel cold to the touch.  When we got up the next morning both of us just ached.  We're both super sore.

Today I'm working on cleaning house and getting things in order for when November 1st rolls around and I need to focus all of my attention to NaNoWriMo.  I do this every year; lots of marathon cleaning, decluttering, holiday preparations, Christmas shopping, etc. just so that I don't have to worry about it in November.

I haven't uploaded our trip pictures just yet, but when I do I'll post them for you to see.  There aren't many since the camera battery died and the camera on my phone sucks on zoom.  Oh, and there's only one of me and it won't be seen.  I was freezing, pale, and it's an all around unflattering photo.  LOL.  Nope, it'll be deleted as soon as I get around to messing with the camera.  ;-)

Okay, I'm out for now.  More cleaning to do.  I started Christmas shopping a few weeks ago, but I still have lots to do.  Thank goodness for online shopping!  It's the only way to go.  :-)

Have a great week!

Today is Monday

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to a brand new week.  I woke up feeling better, but very groggy.  Ugh.  I hate waking up at 5:50 am.  The head cold seems better, but I'm still dealing with a stuffy nose.  Fingers crossed that'll be gone soon.

Yesterday was a nice day at home.  The sun was shining and Tim grilled out dinner.  Today is suppose to be a nice day as well.  Actually, according to the Weather Channel app on my laptop, it's suppose to be nice all week.  Sunshine and mild temps... what more can I ask for?!

I have to go out today for a few errands.  I wear contacts and have been needing a couple of new boxes for a while.  I finally called last week to make sure they had some in stock for me to pick up today.  So I gotta go do that this morning.  Yay for new contacts!  I love the feel of a fresh pair of contacts.  :-)

While I'm out we'll stop by Wal-mart for a few things I need for this week.  I was just over there Thursday, but we always end up running out of something.  Plus, while we're there, I'm going to pick up a box of my beloved "True Red".  I gave Tim the blonde me for the summer, but summer's over and now it's back to my classy red.  Yay me!  I love it.  :-)

Yesterday I managed to write one article and submit two.  That's not bad for being sick all weekend.  I had big plans for the weekend.  Oh well, all we can do is pick up and move onward.  I have two articles to write today and hopefully can punch out some on the new Time For Death chapter I'm working on.  That would make me very happy, especially since we have errands to run that'll break my day up.

Okay, I'm out.  Happy Monday everyone, and try to make the best of the day you have been given.  Go out and have some fun every chance you get.

I know what you're waiting for!

Good morning everyone!  Welcome to a brand new week.  Time to make the best of the day that we have.

I swear I never get use to waking up in the dark.  I've never been a morning person unless my morning comes after 9am.  LOL.  We slept fairly late yesterday, considering the kids were home.  I drug myself out of bed at 8:30 and Tim came crawling behind me.

I got a lot of writing work done over the weekend, but not as much as I wanted to do.  I wrote two articles on Saturday and was planning to get two done on Sunday.  However, when we ot home from visiting the in-laws the kids went wild.  They were screaming and fighting, my phone was ringing, Tim wanted to tell me everything about the Nascar race he was watching (knowing I don't give a damn, lol), and I just couldn't concentrate long enough to be creative and get those articles done.

I decided to just do the research and data collecting for three articles instead of writing the two I wanted.  That'll help when I sit down to write them today.  At least all the reasearch is finished and waiting on me to use it.  :-)

As a little reminder, September ends next week and with it so does my September giveaway.  Here's the original entry telling you all about how to enter for your chance to win an e-book copy of A Midnight InfatuationClick Here.  It's almost over, so don't miss out.

Today I'll be waiting to see if my new goodie (pictured above) arrives in the mail.  It's coming from the China supplier that I always use, and she's very fast at shipping out.  I've already received a pair of lacy, red, elbow-length gloves to go with it, and the corset should be here any day now.  It'll go great with my red high heels.  Click here if you've forgotten what the shoes look like.  And here's the link to Rouge Roses eBay page if you want one of your own.  ;-)

Oh, on a completely different subject... Heroes comes back on tonight!  Yay!  It's a 2 hour season premiere.  Woohoo!  If you're a Heroes fan, don't miss it, and lets hope that this season is better than the last.

Sooooo, are you waiting for something special?  Could you be stopping by to see the snippet I promised of Time For Death?  Hmmm?  Maybe I should just wait until next week.  No?  You don't wanna wait?  You want it now?  Oh, okay, I'll post it today.  Here you go!

*Disclaimer: This is copyrighted material and may NOT be used, copied, shared, or altered in any way, shape or form under penalty of law.*
----------------------------------------------------
Snippet removed...  Time's up!  Too bad you missed it while I had it available.  :-)
----------------------------------------------------
Keep in mind that this has only been edited once, and it may be changed, added to, completely deleted, etc.  And I make no promises that it'll be in the finished book once released into the world.  However, at this moment in time, it's in Chapter 8 of Time For Death.  This is a scene between the main character, Liz, and her vampire lover, Marcus.  :-)

Okey dokey, that's it from me today.  I have work to do, and all that jazz.  If you enjoyed the snippet let me know, and if you didn't, well, I don't wanna know.  LOL!  Have a great day!

A new week with new opportunities!

Good morning all! It's yet another Monday morning. What do you have planned for the new week? We don't have a whole lot of things going on this week. Tim wanted at least a week "off" to enjoy him beig laid off. We'll see how that goes.

Speaking of my honey, he doesn't seem to be doing as well as we expected with the whole being jobless thing. He seems unsure about things and the direction he wants to go. Not that I've been bothering him to take a direction. I've fully agreed that he needs a break before making any decisions, but he seems to feel that he should know everything right now. Hopefully he'll become a little more comfortable this week and stop harping on the fact that he's "never been jobless before."

On the upside, I got a new freelance writer job. Woohoo! It's another online company, but this one pays more per article and has a whole slew of topics to write on. I'll be working on the first four article for them this week and see how it goes. I could do a lot more than four, but I wanted to start out small to make sure things will work out and if I'll like writing for this company. Hopefully it'll work out nicely and I can make some good money from them to go along with my AC money and book royalties each money.

Speaking of my beloved books: Don't forget that all three of the Alex & Fiona books are now available in the e-book format, and for only $5 each! This is a savings of $32.85 + shipping over buying all three in paperback form. Add to that the fact that you're saving paper too!

Stop by the website and order your own e-book copy today. http://www.christiesilvers.com/books.htm

I've heard nothing but positive comments from the readers of my books who've taken the time to contact me. However, I'd greatly appreciate feedback and ratings on Amazon for the books. Most people don't bother going to rate a book (I'm terrible at this myself too), but those ratings and positive feedback are so helpful in pulling in new readers. I'd really appreciate it, and have even made it easy by including the link to each book's Amazon page below.

A Midnight Infatuation - Amazon.com
A Birth at Dawn - Amazon.com
A Twilight Abduction - Amazon.com

Okay, I better get going. Not only do I have laundry to do today, but I have some errands to run and articles to work on. Thursday we have to drive an hour to Cartersville to pick up Tim's last paycheck. We're planning to take the girls fishing sometime this week, and hopefully that'll perk Tim up a bit (he loves fishing). He also has a few things on his own "honey-do" list... clean the gutters, take off the trash, weedeatig around the house, etc.

It'll be a busy week even though we don't really have any plans at all. LOL!

Have a great week.

Today is Monday

Welcome to a brand new week, yet again. The weekend sure did go by quickly this time. We had a fairly nice one though. We stayed home for the 4th of July, but filled the day with swimming, grilling, catching fireflies, and even watching some of the neighbors shoot off their own fireworks. It was nice in the end. :-)

Okay, so today I want to remind everyone to stop by the website and enter for your chance to win an autographed mini-poster of A Midnight Infatuation. However, I also want to give you some detail about another contest that'll happen this month.

My good friend, Robin Renee Ray, who I introduced you to the other week, will be holding a contest on July 25th where she'll be giving away an autographed copy of my book A Midnight Infatuation! Last week I answered a whole slew of fantastic interview questions for her. She'll post them on her site (in the blog section, I think) and everyone who posts a comment and/or question will be entered into the drawing to win my book. The winner's name will be provided to me and I'll ship out the book right from here. Woohoo!

I did an interview for Robin a while back on her Blogspot blog. If you'd like to read it, click here. There are also numerous other interviews linked on my website here.

Now I'm off to start this week. I need to call about getting a tire rotation done on the van before vacation at the end of the month. I need to mail off that color sample to the wedding planner (meant to do it last week, but never got around to it), and I need to send back some Netflix movies. After all that, there's writing and editing. Sometime this week I need to run by JCPenney, too.

I hope you have a good day!

A brand new week!

Good morning! How's it going? Did you have a nice weekend? Our weekend started out with a bang Wednesday night, then lots of fun Thursday, and a normal errand day on Friday. Saturday and Sunday were rained out. It was okay though.

And here we are at Monday once again.

Okay, so I promised to share some pictures of things/ideas that we like for our vow renewal ceremony. The picture to the left is of a cake that we like. The only thing I'd change is that I'd have the baker do the tops of the waves in our sky blue color. As a matter of fact, I need to mail off the color sample to the wedding planner this week.

To see more pictures of things we like, visit the photo gallery on my website at http://www.christiesilvers.com/apps/photos/ I've uploaded many pics for you to look at, and will probably add more as it gets closer to the day. Then afterwards, I'll fill it with pictures from our actual ceremony. :-)

Well, let me see here. I have several things to do this week. Wednesday is July 1st, and that means newsletter time! I already have it all ready and scheduled to go out that morning. Yay me! Then, that same day starts my July Give-Away. All the details will be in the newsletter and are already posted on the website, http://www.christiesilvers.com/contestsgiveaways.htm

Stop by to check it all out. You may be the lucky winner on July 29th!

Also, my friend Robin Renee Ray will be running a contest on her own site at the end of July, and guess who the guest author is... ME! Woohoo! I'll post more details about that one as I get them. :-)

Gosh, I can't believe July starts this week. June just flew by, don't ya think? The kids have been out of school for a month already. I found out last week that the new school year that was suppose to start on Augus 6th will now be pushed to September 8th. The kids get another entire month off. Wow! It's because of the school system trying to save money. Even though they'll be a month short, they will have to go up to an hour later everyday. Eek! We'll see how that goes.

Well, I better get going. I have laundry to do, book edits to work on, and more writing to contemplate. Oh, did I mention that I got the idea for yet another book right before falling asleep Friday night? Yep, there's another one. LOL. I swear I have enough book idea to last me 12 years now. If only I could find the time to write faster each day. LOL.

Maybe one of these days I'll be able to lock myself away just to write all day. One of these days...

See ya!

Welcome to a new week & meet a friend of mine!

Welcome to a brand spankin' new week! How do you plan to make the most of it?

For me, there are a lot of plans for this week. First, the girls and I will be working on Tim's Father's Day gift. We need to work on the apron early in the morning so that it'll be dry enough to put back into hiding before he comes home from work. I also need to print out soe cards for the girls to color and decorate. I can't wait for him to see his goodies on Sunday morning!

Next, I have about seven articles to write over the next two to three days. The sooner I get them done, the sooner they are, well... done! I don't enjoy article writing as much as my fiction writing, so I like to get them done quickly, and in batches so I can move on to my other work much faster. Kind of like housecleaning. LOL!

Now on to the "meet a friend of mine" part of the subject line. Introducing Author Robin Renee Ray and her newly released book:

DARK KNIGHT OF THE SKYE
By: Robin Renee Ray

Could you imagine moving to a new country and falling in love, before being brutally attacked and waking in your own coffin? What would you do when you found out it all happened because of a two hundred year old grudge against your forefathers? Would you try to stop the one who was after you, or would you take the love of your life and flee? Danny Gilmore will find himself in this very position when he leaves Scotland and falls in love with the bubbly Texas beauty, D`nae Creel, who ends up being more than just his lover. Danny is being hunted by two individuals – the vampire, Alasdair, and the detective, Grady O’Brian, who unknowingly are hunting each other as well. Both men find favor in D’nae, and both use her as bait to get to Danny… for very different reasons.

My friend is one extaordinary person. Robin is one of the sweetest people you could ever have the luck of meeting. She and I hit it off right away. If I remember correctly (correct me if I'm wrong Robin) she contacted me first because she liked my books, and was considering doing some writing of her own. After that we got to talking and it just evolved from there. :-)

Now lookie here!! She has her very first released book out! I am sooooo happy and proud of her. Click on the book cover to order your very own copy in either paperback or e-book form. She'll be working on a website of her own very soon, but until then you can find her here.

Okay, that's all from me today. I'm off to get some work done and hopefully have a nice day. :-)

UPDATE: Yay! Robin now has a website in the works. It'll take a little while to get it all set up and complete, but here it is anyway. Robin Renee Ray!

Monday, June 1st!

Morning! Welcome to the first day of June. Summer starts this month. Yay!

Today I was able to hang out in bed until 8am. Then Tim started texting me saying "Get up. It's not fair." LOL! I told him not to pout just because he's at work and I'm on Summer Break. LOL! Poor boy.

It's another gorgeous day outside this morning. The girls will be hitting the pool after lunch, so they should be nice and tired when bedtime rolls around this evening. I'm going to throw a roast in the crock-pot for dinner in a little bit. Tim won't be cooking this evening since he's working today. However, when he does get home the two of us will spend some time in the pool. By then the kids will be done with their time and all tired, so it'll be quiet for us. ;-)

I plan on having a peaceful day. We have no appointments or a schedule to keep. We aren't going anywhere at all today. I'm doing laundry, I've cleaned the kitchen, the girls have some rooms to clean and a few other chores to do, and I have writing to get done while they're in the pool.

We've had a little change of wedding plans.....

We decided to move the vow renewal ceremony from Key West, Florida to Tybee Island, Georgia. Many of you already know about our love for Tybee, so it seemed only natural that we'd want to have the vow renewal there. Tim says we'll go to Key West another time, just fr a vacation, but he agrees that Tybee is better for our renewal.

Not only that, but it's cheaper. LOL! I've found another great wedding coordinator for Tybee that I'll be working with. I can't wait for April 2011! It's going to be so much fun.

Okay, I better go. The washing machine has stopped and the youngest is apparently going through the kitchen junk drawer for no good reason. LOL!

Have great Monday and make the best of this brand new week!

Key West in 2011

Good afternoon all! How has your Monday been? Mine has gone fairly well. I wasn't feeling up to posting my blog entry this morning though. I was more inclined to watch the season finale of LOST from last week that was still sitting on my DVR. LOL It was a great finale though.

The sun has been shining brilliantly all day. It's a bit cooler than usual right now (only 67 at the moment), and it's kind of windy, but the day is truly splendid. I wish all Mondays could be this lovely.

So, Tim and I have set the date for our vow renewal ceremony. We will renew our declaration of love and commitment on April 8, 2011. I wanted to do it on our anniversary (April 9th), but with the amount of driving we will be doing going to and from Key West, we would be too rushed if we have the ceremony on the 9th.

Sooooo, on Friday, April 8, 2011 Tim and I will have the fancy beach wedding that we didn't have the first time. We will be barefoot on the sand with a backdrop of the sun setting on the ocean. Should be lovely!

Oh, in case I haven't mentioned it on here, we've chosen that anniversary because it'll be our 17th. Since we got married at the age of 17, that anniversary will mark us being married to each other for half our lives. Seems appropriate to do a vow renewal at that time. :-)

Now, I have less than 23 months to get it planned, coordinated, paid for, and find a house for us to rent for that entire week. This will also serve as our vacation for that year, so we want to be down there for the week. We've never been to Key West, so if anyone has lodging recommendations feel free to let me know. ;-)

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to all of this. I've already contacted a wedding coordinator down there who has shown me a gorgeous beach location that would suit the ceremony perfectly. The pictures probably don't even do it justice.

As the months go by, and ideas turn into plans, I'll share links and pictures. I'm not going to bother doing it now because, well, I'm a woman and we change our minds all the time. LOL! I have an "idea" of the dress that I want, and have even picked out a few online that I'd like to try on, but that doesn't mean one of those will be the winning choice. LOL. You just never know.

Okay, enough rambling for today. I'm off to take a shower since my day is coming to an end now that the kids are home from school. I'll have to cook dinner in 2 hours and then Tim will be coming home. Anyone with Key West suggestions, feel free to let me know all about them. To my local friends: If you think you'd like to join us for the celebration, feel free to let me know. :-)

Have a great afternoon/evening!

Where did the weekend go?

Wlcome to yet another Monday morning. I slept last night to the sound of a lot of rain outside, but it stayed warm enough for me to keep the bedroom window open. However, this morning it's very, very wet out there. Looks like some blue sky is starting to peek through the trees though. Yay!

According to the weather program here on the laptop, the rest of the week will be gorgeous and warm. Woohoo! I love sunny and warm days.

So, have you noticed the new countdown ticker above? I'm sure you couldn't miss it. LOL! Tim and I were joking around yesterday about counting down the days and I threatened to put a ticker on our Google homepage. He said, "I figured you'd put one on your blog." Sooooo, I did! LOL! He thinks it's quite funny, but he's looking forward to the "after" as much as I am. ;-)

It's no wonder the "love" scenes in my books are so steamy!!!

Anyway, this morning I'm working on more laundry. I need to vaccuum the carpet. I have an article and two books to work on. It's always busy in my world. LOL.

Tim's birthday yesterday turned out really well. We had a good day, even with the rain, and Tim had a good time. We capped off the day with some nice alone time before passing out to the sound of rain. Before we drifted off he said, "You're the best wife in the world." To which I replied, "I know!" LMAO! At least I know he had a great 33rd birthday, and apparently I was the the best wife in the world during it. ;-)

Okay, I better get busy. Tim is texting me and the dryer is about to stop, so enjoy your Monday to the best of your ability. Have a great week.

It's Spring Break!

Good morning all. It's Monday again, and it's a week off of school for my girls for Spring Break. Unfortunately it looks like they won't be enjoying any Spring temps around here. It was lovely Saturday and Sunday, but this week is suppose to bring lower temps and even a possibility of SNOW! Noooooo!!! Winter is over!! Go away!!

Luckily it looks like the lower temps are only here for today and tomorrow. Things should start warming back up on Wednesday. *Fingers Crossed*

Anyway, today I have to take the oldest to have her bottom braces put on. It has been 8 weeks since the tops were put on, and she did a fantastic job with them. Hopefully the bottoms will be just as easy on her.

I have a few other errands to run while we're out of the house today. After that, I plan to be home the rest of the week. I have a set amount of writing work planned for this week--since I won't have interruptions from going back and forth to school--and my regular to-do list to work through. Plus with the older girls home to entertain the 4 yr old, I should be able to get it all done.

THEN... Thursday is my 15th wedding anniversary. Tim will be home to celebrate with me allllllllll day long. Woohoo! On Friday we will be heading out of town for the weekend; we'll return late Sunday. We're looking forward to it!

Sooooo, today is actually the only day that we have to get up early, and that's only because the ortho appointment is at 9am (and it's a 30 minute drive). Therefore, I'm off to wrangle the girls into the van and head out. I hope you all have a great Monday and that your weather still looks/feels like Spring! :-)

Monopoly for everyone!

Good morning everyone. It's Monday again. I hope that you spent your weekend the best possible way. No work, only play! :-)

I had a nice day yesterday. The rain subsided (even though it was still very overcast), and once all the sleepover guests went home, it was a very peaceful day. We visited with the in-laws for a while and then came home.

I got some work done, finally watched the Twilight movie that's been sitting here from Netflix for a week, or so, and then spent the rest of my day with the family. Then after the kids went to bed, Tim asked me to play a game of Monopoly with him. We hadn't played in a while, so we di last night. We played for two hours before I finally beat him. LOL! I owned half the board and he was broke. LOL!

As for today, well it's suppose to be partly cloud, but no rain. I can only hope that's true. The rain sucks! I'm planning to get some writing done and hoping to hear about a job position I applied for last week. No, I'm not leaving the home. It's an online writer's job that many people want, but only one will get. Fingers crossed! It's good money and not a lot of work.

Well, I better be off. I have to take the big girls to school in a few minutes, then come back home and get to work. Breakfast, workout, laundry, writing, childcare, etc. Always busy, busy.

Have a fantastic day!
