Good morning. It's Thursday again.

Morning ladies and gents! I hope you're having a peaceful day thus far. Mine is pretty decent, though busy as always. Tim ended up having to work today, so it's just the 4 year old and me here today.

Yesterday I finally got my garden planted. Tim and I worked on it all last weekend, and I was just waiting to find to time to do that actual planting. I wasn't feeling too well yesterday (damn pollen), but I wanted to get it finished, so the girls and I went out and did it. Now we just wait until the little sprouts start popping through. We planted corn, green beans, leaf lettuce, carrots, grape tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, and onions. I still need to do the potatoes and beets, but the garden plot is full now and I don't know where I'm going to put them. LOL. Leave it to me to fill up a garden before I'm done planting!

This morning I've already washed two loads of laundry, started the dishwasher, fed the little one, written and submitted an article, watched last week's Dollhouse episode, watched last night's Lost episode, and have been texting with Tim. And it's not even 8:30am yet. It's been busy, and I still have to work on more writing while listening to the youngest begging for something to eat even though she just finished her breakfast.

Sooooo, tomorrow is the big day. Tim is ready to get it over with as the anticipation is probably far worse than the actual procedure will be. I should probably get some groceries today since I won't be leaving his side tomorrow for more than just long enough to pick the girls up at school tomorrow. Even then I'll probably just get them from the office instead of waiting in the pick-up line, making it only about 15 minutes that he'll be home alone.

He thinks I'm over-planning, but that's the way I am. I'm big on making plans, schedules, lists, anything that keeps my plans in tidy order. I like to know what's to be expected, and I don't like unhappy surprises. Apparently the children are the same way because any little change in their normal routine can put them in a fierce mood. They are their mother's daughters. LOL.

Anyway, his appointment is tomorrow at 10am. We'll leave here about 8:30am in order to drop the youngest with my grandmother for the day. Then we have a 45 minute drive south to the office. We'll probably get there about 15 minutes early--I'm always early to appointments anyway--in case we have anymore paperwork to fill out, and to give enough time for his valium to kick in.

Then it's V-Time! ;-) It's suppose to take 15-30 minutes and he'll have a local, so he shouldn't feel a thing. Plus he won't care what they're doing with that valium in his system. LOL.

Nevertheless, I'll update tomorrow afternoon/evening when I have time.

I'm out for today. I hope you have a good one! :-)

Wanna Know Wednesday #12

Good morning all! I hope that you're having a fabulous Hump Day morn. :-) My morning has been much better than yesterday morning was. Whew! I'm glad too.

I swear, it's a terrible thing when you have to call in an attempt to refinance a mortgage. I swear it's like a national security issue when you need to do anything like that. However, I spent 2 hrs on the phone yesterday to do just that. Ugh! It's ridiculous.

Oh, I also hate having to call the cable company. What is it with all the automated phone systems? I don't mind the push-button ones so much, but the ones you're suppose to talk to.... UGH! I hate those things!! "What's your name?" "Christie." "Did you say Pickle Relish?" LMAO! I hate that shit.

Days like that just ruin my mood. Luckily, Tim knows how to improve my demeanor. He can always make me laugh no matter what my mood. Last night he even surprised me with the revelation that he wants to renew our wedding vows on a beach somewhere in the Keys. *Shock* He was even looking online last night for information and showing me possible venues. It was quite shocking. He said he'd been thinking about it for a while. It won't happen anytime soon, but it's such a loving gesture from my man.

Anyway, since it's Wednesday, here's today's issue of Wanna Know Wednesday. The topic for this one is..........

10 of My Favorite Cuss Words!

Yep, close your eyes and turn away if you're big on not cussing cause this gal definitely uses them on ocassion! LOL!

  1. FUCK -- I use this one often, especially in stories. This one is the sex one.
  2. SHIT -- This is used when frustrated.
  3. DAMN -- I use this one like shit. LOL!
  4. BITCH -- This one isn't hard to figure out.
  5. BASTARD -- This one is usually combined with damn. LOL!
  6. MOTHERFUCKER -- Yes, I consider this a separate cuss word from #1.
  7. SON OF A BITCH -- This one is used toward certain people and a form of frustration.
  8. ASS -- This is what I call Tim when he's being, well, an ASS. LOL!
  9. WHAT THE FUCK? -- This one should be easy. It's used when wondering, well, what the fuck? LOL!
  10. Well damn, I thought I had 10, but it seems I can't think of anymore. LOL!

Okay, you can look again! ;-) Now that I've soiled your minds with nasty, dirty words, I guess it's time to get to work for the day. The laundry is going, and the youngest is having breakfast. I have an article to finish and another to begin. Remember to check out my AC articles, as a new one was published last night. I'm inching closer and closer to the 1 million pageviews mark, too! Yay!

See you tomorrow! Oh, and... Only 2 more days!! Woohoo!! LOL.

Three more days.

It's coming down to the wire now. Only three more days until the big V. I picked up Tim's prescriptions yesterday that we have to take with us to the appointment. I went expecting just a valium, yet they'd also called in a pain med and antibiotics. Hopefully he won't need pain meds (and he's not expecting to need them), but at least he'll have them if the need arises.

He has it in his head that he'll be feeling in tip-top shape on Saturday--and I certainly hope he is--but I'm making plans and preparations for him to be down all weekend. His plans will have to be put on hold, I do believe. LOL!

I don't know how many of you checked out the vasectomy cakes link that I posted a while back. I found those sooooo funny! I'd even joked around with Tim about ordering one for him. LOL! It ws a joke, but I may just do it anyway. I've been thinking for a week, just trying to come up with something witty to put on a cake. So far I came up with two sayings, but I like this one best....

"Thanks for turning them off so we can get it on!!"

LMAO! Tim found it quite funny when I told him last night. LOL!

Okay, so I better get going. I have a lot work to do today. I haven't even started the laundry yet. Ack!

Have a great day!

Monday, Monday, Monday

Welcome to another new week. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day here in north Georgia. The sun is shining and the temps are just right for all my windows to be open.

I've already begun my morning chores... laundry is washing, 4yr old is fed, I had some wheat toast & strawberry preserves, and the hubby has already declared his affections for me twice this morning. Awwww!

It's going to be a busy day for me. Not only do I have the regular household stuff, and my writing work, but I will also need to go pick up Tim's valium prescription for Friday, run to the store for a few things, and run a few other errands... all before I have to pick up the big girls at school. The days go by so quickly when I have a lot to do. Never enough time it seems.

I currently have some stupid zombie movie playing in the background, and can here the washer finishing up the wash cycle for the second load of laundry. I need to vacuum the livingroom and make some phone calls, as well. Mondays are always so busy when I take the weekends off. However, that's a small price to pay when it comes to spending time with the family.

Okay, on the business front... my monthly newsletter will go out next Wednesday. So if you aren't subscribed yet, and would like to be, just click the newsletter link at the top and sign up. I only send out the newsletter on the first Wednesday of each month (don't have time for more often, LOL), so you won't be bombarded with numerous messages each week. :-)

I guess that's it for today. I need to get up and do some stuff before 9am gets here and I'll be on the phone. Plus my exercise routine is calling my name while it's still cool in the house. :-)

Have a great Monday!

What a weekend!

Good Sunday morning all. How was your weekend? I hope it went well and that you were able to have a nice time.

Well, my weekend was wild. So Thursday started out normal. I spent the morning with Tim and then we decided to go to Lowe's for some garden stuff. We got a decent amount of stuff, along with some fresh vegetable seeds. Then we had a normal Thursday afternoon/evening after the kids came home from school.

Friday was busy, but they always are. We did our normal Friday errands in the morning. Later in the afternoon Tim decided he'd go to pick-up time at school with me. Afterwards we ran off to find some new batteries for our remote lock controls for my van. His has been dead for ages, and mine was getting close. Turns out that you can just get 2-packs of these at Wal-mart. Yay!

Welllllll, on our way to Wal-mart my sister called and asked if the kids could spend the night with her. Like I'm gonna say NO. Duh! LOL! She came to get them before dinner and then I spent the rest of the evening with my man.

Tim and I grilled out Friday evening. We'd bought fresh ears of corn and baking potatoes earlier because we'd already planned to grill out. It was fantastic! He's a great griller. Yum!

We enjoyed some drinking time (I was quite tipsy & very relaxed, LOL), hung out together, and then curled up in the hammock for about an hour. He had the tiki torches lit and music was playing. It was very nice. Once the sun went down we headed inside for other special alone time. LOL!

Saturday we woke up at 8am, picked up the girls, and took a trip to the local trash dump. Luckily we only have to go like twice a year. After that we went to a local garden center for a bag of mushroom dirt to be tilled into the garden. When we got home we burned some stumps, spread the mushroom dirt across the garden plot, and then Tim tilled the plot while I mowed the grass on the side yard.

THEN... the girls begged to spend the night with Tim's parents! *Shock* Two nights in a row alone?!?! Wow! So they ran off again and Tim and I visited my sister before picking up some Subway for dinner and heading back home.

We ate, I did laundry, he watched a Nascar race he had on the DVR, and we just hung out. It's just so quiet when the kids aren't here. Very strange, yet very relaxing. LOL!

Today is Sunday and we're heading down to his parents' house in a couple of hours for our weekly visit with them. When we come home, Tim's going to till the garden again, watch more Nascar, and just relax before a new week begins. I'll be doing laundry, making sure the kids are bathed and ready for the new week, and doing some writing. I have three or four articles I'd like to get written today, but we'll see how much time the girls let me work in peace.

Oh, and there's only 5 days until the big V!!!! Woohoo!! Tomorrow I'll have to go pick up his valium for the procedure and then we just wait. I can't believe it's finally here. He seems to think he'll be able to do all kinds of yard work next weekend, but I doubt he's going to feel like it. I hope I'm wrong though!

Okay, I'm off for the day. Have a great Sunday!

Good Thursday morning to ya!

Morning all. It's one of my favorite days of the week. I've always enjoyed a good Thursday. It's almost the end of the week, and these days it's the first day of the weekend for Tim. I love having him home, and it appears that I'll have him home even more when August rolls around. He was informed yesterday that his plant is closing down on August 5th.

Luckily, he'll be working until the very last day when many of the guys will be laid off in June and July. It sucks, but what can you do in this economy? He seems pretty upbeat about it all, and at this moment I'm okay. There's still a lot of time between now and August, so we have time to plan, get things in order, and make sure things will work out to our advantage... or at least acceptable.

Anyway, that's what we discussed a lot yesterday. These days are when I'm sooooo glad we don't have a lot of bills. We don't have car payments, we don't have loans, we don't have credit cards. All we have other than utilities and insurance is our mortgage and the oldest daughter's braces to pay for. Thank goodness! We'll survive, we always do. :-)

Okay, so I promised pictures for today. These are random, but are some I've been meaning to share.

The one at the top is of a necklace I bought the other week when we went out of town for our anniversary. It's a stone called Snowflakes of something or other. LOL! I asked the shop lady, and she told me, but I've completely forgotten it. LOL. I do know that it starts with Snowflakes though. I found it quite lovely and since it's black and white I can wear it with almost anything. :-)

Next up is a picture of my little sister and her guy. They are currently planning their wedding for next year. I think they make a very cute couple (even if he wasn't happy about having his picture taken). This was taken when we all went up to the mountains for family shots.

Now, on that same day Tim and I took the girls to the local park when we came down off the mountain. It was such a lovely day that we couldn't stand the thought of just going home. So here's the fountain at our local park. The blue sky streaked with white clouds seemed to blend perfectly when the water.

Lastly, I want to share pics of the new candle holder set that we got so cheap when we were out of town. And to show how well it goes with our bedroom, there's a pic of our bedset and the artwork we have hanging at the head of the bed. You can see the wall color behind the candle set as well.

Well, there you go! I promised pictures and now you have pictures. :-) Now I'm off to enjoy the day with my one and only.
Oh, before it slips my mind, thank you to my friends and family who are helping me reach the 1 million pageview mark on AC. I had another article published on Tuesday, if you haven't seen it, called SAHM: Naptime - To Clean or Not To Clean. It's the first in a series of SAHM articles I'm working on. Check it out!
Have a great day!

Wanna Know Wednesday #11...

Morning! How's it going? How are all my wonderful readers out there? I hope that you're having a good morning. :-) Looks like it's going to be a nice day here. The early morning sky is blue and I see sunshine peeking through the trees that surround my house.

I woke up to Tim cupping my cheek, saying he loves me, and wishing out loud that he didn't have to leave me to go to work. Say it with me... Awwwwwww! He gets up about 40 mins before I do, and leaves 10 mins before I get up. In all the years we've been married he has always kissed me good-bye before work. It's a nice way to start the day. :-)

So today is yet another Wednesday. It's Tim's last day of work this week. We have another nice weekend planned. The sun is suppose to be shining brightly for the next few days. I love it! Sunshine puts me in a good mood, and the you throw in the kind of temps where I can open the windows in the house and, well, I'm walking on water! LOL. What more could I ask for?

Since it is Wednesday, it's time for my weekly list of rambling facts. You never know what will end up on my Wanna Know Wednesday list. :-)
  1. Only 10 hours until Tim gets home from work.
  2. The big girls last day of school is May 27th. Won't be long now.
  3. Stalkers, fuck off!! I'm really, really tired of seeing the IP address for people who have no business being in my life. If you say you're not coming back, then damn, don't come back! Sheesh, stop stalking. Sure, I'm interesting, but I didn't think I was THAT interesting.
  4. I'd like to get a boob job. Not so much for size (cause I have plenty of size), but more to just put them back where they belong after birthing and nursing three kids. LOL!!
  5. I have more social networking pages than I can even remember signing up for. Especially when it comes to Ning sites.
  6. I'm planning on taking full advantage of the hubby this weekend. ;-)
  7. No, I do not allow my oldest to read my books. They are definitely ADULT CONTENT.
  8. I'll never understand why so many writers are afraid to use their real name when writing erotica. Hell, I want people to know my work is my work. Plus, I have nothing to hide and don't give a damn if people know I write about sex. That's kind of what my books are known for anyway. LOL!
  9. 9 days, 9 days, 9 days!!!!
  10. Tim & I can't wait to go to the Georgia Renaissance Festival below Atlanta soon. We usually go around Mother's Day, so hopefully it won't be long before we get the chance to go.

There you go! This week's Wanna Know Wednesday is now complete. I have some S&M to write about in one book, and a major battle scene to write in the other. I don't have anything outside the home to do today, so I'll be right here until pick-up time. Time for work!

I hope you have a great day. Stop by tomorrow when I'll finally be posting some new pictures of things I've been meaning to share. :-)

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

It's Tuesday.

Good morning all. It's only 7:30am and I already have laundry going, the kitchen cleaned, the big girls at school, and the youngest is eating her breakfast. I haven't had much of an appetite the last couple of days, so I haven't forced down any food for myself yet.

Sunday night I slept terribly. I had bad dreams all night--and not the kind that I write about because they aren't bad to me--and that put me in a pissy mood yesterday. I was hoping it would go away as the day progressed, but it didn't and I was in a bad mood all day.

Luckily, I slept much better last night. I still can't kick the awful feeling that the night of bad dreams left behind, but at least I'm feeling a little less on edge and grumpy this morning. Tim said I should have woke him up that night so he could love on me, but the man has to get up early enough for work without me waking him up like a four year old. LOL.

Anyway, I'm hoping today will be a better day. Even with my grumpiness, yesterday was still productive. I got a lot done, but it just couldn't help my mood. Maybe today will be just as productive, just with a better attitude about it. *Fingers Crossed* I can't really get into the mood to write love and sex scenes when I'm in a pissy frame of mind. It would have been great if I was working on a battle scene, but I'm not.

Well, I'm off to watch Heroes from last night. Later in the day I have a couple of errands to run, and then before I know it I'll be heading to school for pick-up time. The days go by so fast when no one is home with me. I hear Tim texting me now too. :-)

Have a great day!

I forgot to add......

I forgot to add that I'm coming up on 1 million pageviews on my Associated Content articles. A big thank you to all who have ever read one of them. You guys are the best! :-)

I only have 178 articles on there, so hitting 1 million pageviews is definitely a HUGE deal for me. Most of the sources on there with that many hits have a lot more articles than I do.

If you'd like to see them again (or haven't visited before), here's the link........

Where did the weekend go?

Wlcome to yet another Monday morning. I slept last night to the sound of a lot of rain outside, but it stayed warm enough for me to keep the bedroom window open. However, this morning it's very, very wet out there. Looks like some blue sky is starting to peek through the trees though. Yay!

According to the weather program here on the laptop, the rest of the week will be gorgeous and warm. Woohoo! I love sunny and warm days.

So, have you noticed the new countdown ticker above? I'm sure you couldn't miss it. LOL! Tim and I were joking around yesterday about counting down the days and I threatened to put a ticker on our Google homepage. He said, "I figured you'd put one on your blog." Sooooo, I did! LOL! He thinks it's quite funny, but he's looking forward to the "after" as much as I am. ;-)

It's no wonder the "love" scenes in my books are so steamy!!!

Anyway, this morning I'm working on more laundry. I need to vaccuum the carpet. I have an article and two books to work on. It's always busy in my world. LOL.

Tim's birthday yesterday turned out really well. We had a good day, even with the rain, and Tim had a good time. We capped off the day with some nice alone time before passing out to the sound of rain. Before we drifted off he said, "You're the best wife in the world." To which I replied, "I know!" LMAO! At least I know he had a great 33rd birthday, and apparently I was the the best wife in the world during it. ;-)

Okay, I better get busy. Tim is texting me and the dryer is about to stop, so enjoy your Monday to the best of your ability. Have a great week.

Happy 33rd Birthday, Baby!

Today is my dear hubby's 33rd birthday!!!

Friday night the girls went to my mom's house, so Tim and I grilled out steaks and made baked potatoes, and drank a lot of alcohol. LOL! We had a great time! We didn't go to bed until after midnight that night. I was quite tipsy, to say the least.

Then yesterday Tim decided that it was a great work-around-the-house day. He was sooooo busy. He worked on the laundryroom floor (a dog we use to have actually tried to dig his way out of the back door), fixed a loose railing on the front porch, and even changed the brakes on my van (YAY!!). He was on busy guy.

I, on the other hand, spent most of yesterday doing six loads of laundry, nursing a headache (no, not alcohol related. LOL!), and helping Tim whenever he needed me to. We later had to go out because the youngest had left her toothbrush at Mom's house and Tim wanted more Corona's from the liquor store.

Oh, and I made my loving man his birthday cake. He wanted it yesterday instead of today. :-)

Today, we'll be off to visit the in-laws and have lunch with them. We'll go out for lunch most likely because they always take us out for our birthdays. Who knows where that'll be. Hopefully somewhere that I can get a good salad though.

Anyway, it's raining today, but we've had a few gorgeous days so I can forgive Mother Nature for today. Nonetheless, it's my baby's birthday so.....

Okay, I was a day off.

TODAY is actually 2 weeks until Tim's vasectomy. The first appointment date was for next Thursday, but his now appointment date is May 1st, which is the Friday after next. Soooo, today marks two weeks. LOL! Duh, me!

Anyway, good morning to my wonderful, fabulous, loving friends out there. I hope that you've had a great week. Mine has been pretty well, I must say. I got a decent amount of work done... both writing and household. That always makes for a nice weekend because I'm not rushing to get work done when I could be spending it with Tim and the girls.

Tonight the girls are going to be spending the night with my mom. Tim and I will be home alone. His 33rd birthday is in two days so we're going to be grilling out, watching some movies (yay Netflix!), and enjoying the quiet in celebration. Then tomorrow I'll bake him his favorite birthday cake (white cake with chocolate frosting). I would wait for Sunday to do it (his actual birthday), but he said he wants it tomorrow so he can eat it during the Nascar race. LOL! He says it'll make a good snack. LOL!

Nonetheless, today is another gorgeous day here. The sun is shining and the sky is blue. I love days like this. It's a little cool this morning, but is warming up pretty quickly. It will be so nice outside this afternoon.

Early this morning I took the girls to school, bought groceries, paid the Verizon bill (still loving Verizon!), and did a few other errands. We were out so early that we made it back home by 9:30am. We've just been hanging out since then. I need to do some laundry, but will wait until the girls get home from school in case they require a change of outfits before they go to Mom's. Anyone with daughters knows what I'm talking about. They go through more outfits a week than anyone I know.

Okay I better go now. The youngest is begging for an early lunch since she didn't want to at breakfast this morning. Tim is in the kitchen getting our dinner steaks into merinade and seasonings. He loves doing that and I don't mind because it keeps me from having to cook. LOL!

Have a great Friday and weekend to come. :-)

.

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday.

Yep, that's what I said... It's Thursday. I had a late night last night. Tim and I went to bed at a reasonable hour, yet we ended up talking and laughing in bed for over an hour after that. No,we weren't doing that (we'd already done that earlier, lol), it was just a bunch of chatting and laughing over some stupid people from his work. All in all, it was fun to not be interrupted and to have an actual conversation with my man that lasted longer than five minutes. LOL.

Nevertheless, I woke up a bit more tired than usual this morning because of our late night talk session. Tim is off work today, so he hung out in bed for another hour after I'd already gotten the big girls up. He crawled out of bed just in time to be up with the youngest as I took the other two to school.

Ooohhh, guess what! We have sunshine today!! Woohoo! Beautiful blue skies and bright rays of sunshine! With the way my house sits, the sun shines in all the windows on the backside of the house in the mornings and the front side of the house in the evenings. Makes for me never having to turn on a light until darkness falls when we have these bright days. I love it! Now if only those temps could get up and out of the 40's. I know, I know, I'm sooooo demanding. LOL!

I'm looking forward to warmer days, lounging by the pool, hanging out in the backyard at night by the glow of our lanterns and firepit. There's only a little more than a month until the big girls are out of school for the summer. Usually it's hot by then, so we'll see what happens. I'm sure that one morning I'll wake up and the summer heat will be here in full force and we'll be wondering where Spring ran off to.

Okay, I better get off here. I have some errands to run, a dog to feed, and a load or two of laundry to do. Tim is playing his Xbox, and it keeps distracting me, so this took a lot longer to write than usual. I doubt I'll be getting much writing work done today. :-)

Have a great one!

Wanna Know Wednesday #10...

Soooo, welcome to another episode of Hump Day. Yep, it's Wednesday again. Wasn't it just Wednesday, like, a week ago? LOL.

Today is Tim's last day of work this week. His work weeks go really fast now that he's down to three days. Our youngest woke up this morning asking where her daddy is. When I told her that he was at work, she stomped her foot and yelled, "NO! I want it to be Friday!" She doesn't quite understand that he's home on Thursdays now, too. LOL. She is a true daddy's girl.

I managed to finish a SAHM article yesterday and start another one before the girls were home from school. However, I never got to my erotic romance story. Makes me sad, but I'll get to it. I plan to get that other article finished today and set up another one for tomorrow. I've been slacking on the article writing in favor of my book writing, so now I have a lot of articles to get completed before the desire is gone again.

I have to be in the mood to work on articles. One week I may be all gung-ho and crank out article after article. Then, the next week I find them so boring that I can't even entertain the idea of writing an article. Those are the weeks when the excitement of story-writing draws me in.

Oh yeah, it's also Wanna Know Wednesday, isn't it? I almost forgot. So here is your list of complete randomness about lil ole me. :-)
  1. I am currently listening to the movie War, Inc. in the background.
  2. I love, love, love the Xbox I bought Tim for Christmas. Mainly because it's so easy to watch my Netflix Instant Play Queue whenever I want.
  3. I have a candle burning next to me that smells soooooo good. It's called Pink Sugar and was a Christmas gift from my friend, Mis.
  4. I'll be making a Tuna Casserole for dinner tonight.
  5. I need to clean my refrigerator. Sometime, maybe...
  6. I'm currently wondering if Spring will ever decide to warm up, or if I'll just wake up to Summer one morning.
  7. Tim's vasectomy is two weeks from tomorrow. Oh, I already mentioned that yesterday? Well, I'm excited! Can't you tell?? LOL!
  8. I'm currently waiting for the bank to call me about refinancing our mortgage. It'll knock our payments almost in half AND knock 2 yrs off of it. I just don't know why it takes soooo long to get stuff like this done. Sheesh!
  9. I love the smell of fresh coffee, but can't stand the taste. I don't care how much sugar, or cream, or milk, or whatever you put in it, I can't stand the taste.
  10. I need freshen up my hair color. This red isn't natural, you know. LOL!

Anyway, I'm off to get some work done. I hope you have a nice Wednesday. :-)

.

A wet Tuesday, but less stormy than Monday.

Good morning! I'm so happy that I woke up with electricity this morning. LOL! I makes for a much more simple start to the day when I'm able to follow through with my regular routine. I'm glad the winds died down, and today it's just wet outside, yet not raining. Here's hoping for some sunny days soon.

Soooo, I have nothing special planned for today. It's just another day around here. It seems Tim has picked up the cold that I had Sunday. Wonder how that happened? Hmm.... ;-) He'll want to be babied when he comes home from work tonight. I'm planning to make him a meatloaf for dinner. It's not one of my favorite meals, but he likes it, and I'll fix it for the baby. In a little over two weeks he'll really be whining. It'll be vasectomy time!! It was suppose to be next week, but the urologist had to reschedule for a week later. It's almost time! Woohoo! *Giggle*

Today I'll be working on a few articles and once their done I'm hoping to have time to work on the erotic romance that I started last week. I'll have to see how fast the articles go first, and how well the four year old can entertain herself today. It's difficult to write sex scenes when a 4yr old is interrupting you. I just can't stay "in the mood" when that happens. Who's in the mood for a little S&M? LOL!

What's up with Time For Death, you may ask? Well, Liz is still being a bitch and rejecting all of my editing efforts for the story. That's why I put her in time out and started working with Sabrina and Joshua. That'll teach Liz to be so pissy all the time. Sheesh! If she wants her story completed then she needs to be a little more cooperative. Damn! Hopefully a little time apart will make her appreciate me more and then we'll get it knocked out together. Until then, she needs to just think about how she's been acting! LOL!

Yes, I always talk about my characters like real people. They HAVE to be real to me in order for their stories to come out the way I want them to. So, yes, I will always talk about them as if they are real-life people, because they are to me!

Anyway, enough rambling for now. I'm off to see what Tim is texting me, finish the laundry, and then get to work on some writing. I hope you have a magnificent Tuesday! :-)

A stormy Monday morning.

Good morning all. It's nearly 10am and I'm just now able to get online. The power has been out since before 5am this morning. I awoke just in time to get the girls up and ready for school. Thank goodness for a mom's internal clock.

Well, we made it home from our trip yesterday. We had a great time and both Tim and I thought those four days went by slowly. Which was nice because usually his days off speed by so fast that it doesn't feel like we had any time together. We did a lot while we were away and had so much fun. I was completely water logged by Sunday from all the time that we spent in the pool and hot tub. We were in the water so much that I didn't bother to put a bit of makeup on during the entire trip. There was no point in it. LOL!

Well, I better go get some work done. Since the power was out, I wasn't able to get any of the housework done (laundry, vacuum, dishwasher, etc.) and must do them now. Luckily I was able to take the big girls to school, eve though the power was out there, but who knows how long they will stay before calling me to pick them up. Gotta get as much done around here as possible before that happens.

Have a great day!

It's Saturday? Wow, that was fast!

Good afternoon all. It's been a busy day around here. We're still out of town, and we certainly kept busy all day. It's fifteen miutes before 5pm and this is the first moment I've had to get on here to post

We started out the morning at 7am. Everyone got ready and we went downstairs for the breakfast buffet here in the hotel. Then we headed out to a nature trail that is just gorgeous. Tim and I had been there a few times over the years, but the last time was when the oldest was little. Soooo, we took the girls and everyone loved it. Unfortunately, with us being up in the mountains, my hair went frizzy and flat as soon as the cloudy mist started falling. Every sprinkle of dried hairspray simply dissolved in a matter of minutes. LOL!

We went early because I figured we'd be able to see more deer... and I was right! We saw about four dozen over the course of our drive. Not to mention wild geese and turkeys. We were so close to a few of the deer that Tim was taking pics with his camera phone. LOL! Here's one from my digital camera though.....

We walked through several old houses, a country store, a mill that grinds cornmeal, and loads of landscape with a flowing river and waterfalls. It was nice. Here's a good view that I caught....

It was a lot of fun and the girls were amazed by it all.

After we got back to civilization, we had lunch out, came back to the hotel, and then hit the pool. LOL. We spent 3 hours in the pool before I finally had to drag them all back to the room.

Yesterday we did some shopping in the next town over. One shop was having a heck of a sale and Tim & I picked up a beautiful candle holder set that will match perfectly with our red and black bedroom. It was a $30 set, marked down to only $8! I couldn't pass it up.

Here's a shot of the girls during our shopping...

Well, I promised you pictures today, and I gave you pictures today. LOL! We've had a great time for our anniversary. Granted, it would have been nicer to have Tim all to myself for four days so that I can have my way with him anytime, but it has been a nice family trip with a lot less fussing from the children than we usually endure when we take these trips. LOL!

In the morning we will have breakfast here and then head back toward home. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive, so it's not bad. We'll be home by lunchtime. Then I have four days of laundry to do. Blah! Laundry never ends, does it?

I hope you're all having a good weekend. :-)

Good morning. Yes, we're still out of town.

Good morning all. How's it going? It's finally Friday, I see! I'm sitting here in a semi-dark hotel room listening to the youngest watching Mickey Mouse on Disney. The oldest is still sleeping and the middle is watching Disney (but only because she HAS to, LOL).

Tim and I have had a great time celebrating our anniversary so far. We made it here at 3pm yesterday, took a couple of hours to rest (I was plagued with a major migraine all day yesterday), and then we took a drive before taking the kids to the indoor pool. We were at the pool for almost 4 hours. Ack! Talk about waterlogged. LOL! Luckily they have a hot tub there too so I spent some time in there to help ease my head. It worked.

Today, the radar says rain is suppose to start making its way in, and my weather thingy in the bottom right-hand corner keeps thundering at me. LOL! Hopefully it will come through quickly and get on out of here. If not, I guess we'll be spending today in the pool or off at some indoor arcade for the kids. You never know with us.

Okay, I better go. I need to take a shower, get the kids dressed, and then we'll head downstairs to the breakfast buffet here in the hotel. They have a great one! It definitely saves on money when you're feeding three kids and a man who can eat a full day of food in one sitting. LOL! I swear I don't know where any of them put it. LOL.

Have a great Friday and maybe I'll have some pics to share tomorrow. :-)

Today is my 15th...

Today is my 15th wedding anniversary!

Tim and I wed on April 9, 1994, at the tender age of seventeen (I still had my braces on at the time too, lol), and never looked back. :-) Sometimes I can't believe that it's already been this long, and other times it feels like it should be longer.

The happy couple--April 9, 1994

We were quite young when we married. We were energetic teenagers, completely in love and ready to spend the rest of our lives together. All the people around us were hooking up and dumping one another. The married ones were getting divorced in a matter of months. But we held strong and knew we had the everlasting kind of love. And look at it now!

Oh, and I promised you a shot of our chocolate wedding cake, didn't I? Here you go....

We have so much more fun now than we did back then too (even with all the sneaking off and having "fun" in the back of his truck in the woods, lol). Each year is better than the one before. I can only imagine how we'll be in another five, ten, fifteen years. LOL!

So anyway, today we're heading out of town for the weekend. It was suppose to be tomorrow, but Tim wanted to go a day early, so were off. LOL! We're taking the kids with us this time, but it's to celebrate our anniversary. We try to go every year around this time because this is the same place we went for our honeymoon as well. As a matter of fact, our oldest was conceived while we were there for our 2nd anniversary. LOL! Awww, fun memories!

Nevertheless, I'll be gone until late Sunday. If you're a close friend or family, you'll know how to reach me on my cell. Everyone else will have to wait until I come back and check my emails. ;-)

I hope you all have a glorious day and weekend. I plan on spending some quality time with the family, swimming in the indoor pool at the hotel, and celebrating a fabulous 15 years with my loving husband. Here's to another 15!

I think we look much better now (at the age of 32) than we did back then at 17. LOL!

Wanna Know Wednesday #9...

Welcome to another edition of Wanna Know Wednesday. This is the place to come when you want to find out random nonsense about the one and only ME! LOL. This week there's no discernible theme to the list of 10 items. It's just a compilation of random facts about myself.

  1. Last week I made two skirts for the girls & yesterday I made myself a new peasant top.
  2. My favorite perfume is Princess by Vera Wang.
  3. I have quite the collection of scented body lotions. Everything from peach to strawberry to coconut lime, and many more.
  4. I hate wearing socks. I'm a barefoot kind of girl.
  5. So far, this week has been fairly peaceful with the girls home from school.
  6. 15 years ago I was anxious to get tomorrow here as fast as possible.
  7. I need to paint my nails before Friday.
  8. Yes, my eyes really are THAT blue.
  9. My oldest has become intrigued by the Greek Gods. Therefore, we've added all seasons of Hercules to my Netflix instant play queue. She's enjoyed a couple of episodes this week.
  10. I'll be glad when it's time for the man to come home.

Okay, that's it for today. It's suppose to warm up a bit more today, and I'm hoping that it'll happen. Hopefully the last two days will be the last of winter for a very long time.

I'm off to get some work done so that I'll be able to play with the family for the next four days. I'm looking forward to it!

Have a wonderful day. :-)

A cold Tuesday morning.

Morning all! Well, winter and spring keep battling back and forth for power over the weather. Today, winter won out. We woke up to temps in the mid-30's. It's April, right? My anniversary is in two days, and we had an outside wedding on a beautiful spring day. Such crazy weather this year!

Yesterday turned out to be quite the busy day. The oldest daughter's orthodontist appointment went well, though it took over an hour. She now has a mouth full of braces and she hasn't had a bit of problems so far.

Then we stopped by Wal-mart to pick up a few things. I found some fabric for the peasant top I'll be sewing for myself today. I love those kinds of tops, but some places ask an awfully high price for them. I bought what I needed to make my own for less than half the price of a top out of the store. Woohoo! I'll be getting to work on that in a little while.

After that, I took the girls out for lunch and icecream. They loved it. Might as well spoil them a little while they're out of school this week. LOL!

Today I won't be leaving the house, but that doesn't mean it'll be a lazy day at home. I have writing, sewing, baking, cleaning, and I need to pull out the luggage because Tim is talking about us leaving Thursday instead of Friday. If we do, I'll have to get us all packed tomorrow. We have reservations for Friday & Saturday, so he needs to hurry and decide so I can change them to include Thursday as well. LOL! That man can be so indecisive sometimes. LOL!

Now if only I could convince Spring to come back and stick around until Summer shows up. Sheesh! At least I'm happy that we didn't wake up to snow. Now THAT would have sucked big time.

Okay, I'm off to get to work. I got to sleep until 8am this morning, but haven't done anything yet except text naughty things back and forth with Tim and watch Medium & Heroes on my DVR from last night. I gotta get busy. At least dinner will be taken care of since I'm throwing the fixin's for chili into the crockpot. Yum!

Have a warm day!

It's Spring Break!

Good morning all. It's Monday again, and it's a week off of school for my girls for Spring Break. Unfortunately it looks like they won't be enjoying any Spring temps around here. It was lovely Saturday and Sunday, but this week is suppose to bring lower temps and even a possibility of SNOW! Noooooo!!! Winter is over!! Go away!!

Luckily it looks like the lower temps are only here for today and tomorrow. Things should start warming back up on Wednesday. *Fingers Crossed*

Anyway, today I have to take the oldest to have her bottom braces put on. It has been 8 weeks since the tops were put on, and she did a fantastic job with them. Hopefully the bottoms will be just as easy on her.

I have a few other errands to run while we're out of the house today. After that, I plan to be home the rest of the week. I have a set amount of writing work planned for this week--since I won't have interruptions from going back and forth to school--and my regular to-do list to work through. Plus with the older girls home to entertain the 4 yr old, I should be able to get it all done.

THEN... Thursday is my 15th wedding anniversary. Tim will be home to celebrate with me allllllllll day long. Woohoo! On Friday we will be heading out of town for the weekend; we'll return late Sunday. We're looking forward to it!

Sooooo, today is actually the only day that we have to get up early, and that's only because the ortho appointment is at 9am (and it's a 30 minute drive). Therefore, I'm off to wrangle the girls into the van and head out. I hope you all have a great Monday and that your weather still looks/feels like Spring! :-)

.

Sunday, April 5, 2009

Welcome to another Sunday.

Good morning all. It's Sunday already. Gosh, the weekend went by fast. Tomorrow the girls start their week off for Spring Break. Yay, I get to sleep late for a whole week!! Woohoo!

As you know, we went to the mountains yesterday to do a family photo shoot. We ended up taking nearly 100 photos, had a picnic, and just goofed off (too bad you won't be seeing the stupid goofy, outtake photos we took, lol). It was a beautiful day. The birds were chirping, the sky was blue, the sun was shining brightly, and the waterfall was flowing nicely. It was great.

Sooooo, here is a small sampling of the many, many pictures we took. These are some of my favorites.

This is my new favorite picture of Tim & I.

Okay, that's it for this morning. I need to go get ready for our weekly visit with the in-laws. We won't see them next week since we'll be out of town.

Have a great day!

.

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Welcome to a bright, sunshiny Saturday!

Woohoo!! I woke up to chirping birds, blue skies, and SUNSHINE! Yay! All the gloomy, cloudy, rainy days have sucked completely. I knew it was suppose to be pretty today, but you never know until the day arrives.

So yesterday was a good day. We got all of my Friday errands done so early that Tim & I were able to spend most of the day here at home together. Then my mom took the girls for last night Tim and I cooked dinner together, watched a movie (Max Payne sucked), and then he actually helped me sew a skirt for our middle daughter. He has NEVER done that. It was all very nice.

Today we're going to go do a family photo shoot in the mountains. Once the girls get home from mom's, I'll get them all dressed and prettied up and we'll head out. If the mountains are too muddy (from all the stupid rain), then we'll just hit the local park and do them there. Either way we'll come home with a variety of new family shots for me to go through.

I try to do Spring pics of the girls every year, but it's been a while since we've done family shots too. So this time I'll get Tim in front of the camera too. He hates it, but he does anything for me. *Love* Besides, with our anniversary next week, we need a few new pics of the two of us.

Anyway, once I wade through the tons we'll have, I'll share some of my favorites with all of you.

Now I'm off to enjoy this beautiful Saturday! You have a great one too. :-)

What day is it? Oh wait, it's Thursday!

*Yawn, Stretch, Yawn again* Morning all. It's jut too early to be awake. I hate early mornings. All the girls are up & getting dressed, yet I'm still sitting here in my robe trying to force myself awake. Some days I wish I was a coffee drinker. So I just came here and figured this would wake me up well enough.

Okay, so yesterday was April Fool's Day and I had one untruth in my entry from then. Did you guess the right one???

It was...

#8. I've decided that I don't want Tim to have a vasectomy, and I'd like one more child.

You guessed wrong?? Really?? Geez people! Can you not see the excitement in my words when I'm talking about getting him snipped?? LOL!! As a matter of fact, Tuesday the urologist's office called and pushed the procedure from April 23rd to May 1st and I was soooooo disappointed. Tim wasn't happy with waiting an extra week either. I was hoping that they were calling to move it up closer. LOL!

Anyway, today will be a good day, no matter how much I hate mornings. Tim & I will be doing some window shopping for a new patio furniture set. He fell a tree on our glass table last year. Yep, it busted up all over the back yard. It was a big mess. Soooo, we are going to look around and see what we can find.

Then our 8yr old daughter has a school presentation that she's giving today and wants us to come watch. So we'll be at school at 1pm to watch her discuss Susan B. Anthony. She's decided that she's nervous. The child can sing in front of half the school, but give her a poster to read in front of the kids in her class and she's nervous. LOL!

Somewhere in there, I need to finish a SAHM article I'm working on too.

Well, I better start getting dressed if I'm going to get the kids off to school on time. The 4yr is watching Disney and the older two are brushing their teeth. Tim is still in bed since he doesn't have to work, but he'll be up in the next thirty minutes to watch the youngest while I drive the other two to school.

Have a fabulous day!

Wanna Know Wednesday #8...

Morning all. How's it going this week? It's Hump Day, yet again. Why is it that the days seem to go by so much faster with each passing year?

It's April 1st, and April Fool's Day! Soooo, in today's entry I'm going to post one untruth and lets see how many people guess the right one. I'll let you know which it was tomorrow. ;-)

Here are this week's ten random things you may, or may not, have wanted to know about me. This marks two months of these, so it's getting more difficult to find something about myself that I haven't already shared with you.

  1. I still have a blog stalker. Though they seem to come around less than before. And Tim's MySpace page seems to hold less interest these days. LOL! Could it be caused by his lack of regular updates? Hmmm...
  2. I'm the kind of person who DOES hold a grudge. I don't believe in "forgive & forget". I might forgive (and that doesn't happen often), but I never forget.
  3. I have a younger brother and sister. Don't have any idea where the brother is, but am so close to my little sister. I actually taught her to drive when she was 16. :-)
  4. Tim is an only child. Though he was adopted and, from what we're told, does have biological siblings.
  5. The NBC show ER aired in the same year that Tim & I married. Tomorrow is the last episode of the series--which ran for 15 years--and I plan to watch it.
  6. I just watched the movie version of Twilight on Sunday, and well, I'll just say that I liked the book version much, much, MUCH better than the movie.
  7. After I finish Time For Death, I'll be working on a full on erotica story. It'll be complete with lots of sex and words that'll make my mother blush. *Hi Mom!* LOL
  8. I've decided that I don't want Tim to have a vasectomy, and I'd like one more child.
  9. I'm looking forward to the kids being off for Spring Break next week.
  10. My oldest daughter will be getting her bottom braces next Monday. Hopefully she'll fair well.

There you have it! Can you guess which one is a all out lie? Anyone who knows me well (or reads the blog regularly) will be able to pick it out right away. LOL!

Okay, that's it from me for this morning. My April newsletter goes out today, so if you missed it sign up today for next month's edition. Now I'm off to get some work done. I hope you have a fabulous day!
