So today is the last day of June. The month went by very quickly. My monthly newsletter goes out tomorrow AND my July give-away starts tomorrow. If you haven't already checked out the details, pop over to the website and see if you'd like to try your hand at a chance to win an autographed mini-poster of A Midnight Infatuation. :-)
I was thinking about doing an entry about sex today, but decided to wait. Anyone on my Facebook friends list probably sees just how much Tim and I enjoy our time together. And I do mean ENJOY. I have a lot of fun just grossing out Tim's cousin, Heather. LOL! Sorry Heather, but you crack me up! LOL!
Tim and I seem to have a very UN-healthy sex life for being together for 16 years. Or though some think. I couldn't imagine us not being all over each other all the time. What fun is a marriage if you can't enjoy the person you're spending your life with? I guess that is odd for some after all these years, but for us it's a near daily occurrance (and a daily thought, lol). If it weren't for his job tiring him out on some days, it would be every day.
Okay, so this entry turned into a little bit of a sex post. Look away Mom! I'll warn you ahead of time when I post the actual entry I'm planning. LOL!
I'm off to run some errands and then my sister is coming for a visit today. I hope you have a good day and spend some time with the one you love the most. :-)

A brand new week!
And here we are at Monday once again.
Okay, so I promised to share some pictures of things/ideas that we like for our vow renewal ceremony. The picture to the left is of a cake that we like. The only thing I'd change is that I'd have the baker do the tops of the waves in our sky blue color. As a matter of fact, I need to mail off the color sample to the wedding planner this week.
To see more pictures of things we like, visit the photo gallery on my website at http://www.christiesilvers.com/apps/photos/ I've uploaded many pics for you to look at, and will probably add more as it gets closer to the day. Then afterwards, I'll fill it with pictures from our actual ceremony. :-)
Well, let me see here. I have several things to do this week. Wednesday is July 1st, and that means newsletter time! I already have it all ready and scheduled to go out that morning. Yay me! Then, that same day starts my July Give-Away. All the details will be in the newsletter and are already posted on the website, http://www.christiesilvers.com/contestsgiveaways.htm
Stop by to check it all out. You may be the lucky winner on July 29th!
Also, my friend Robin Renee Ray will be running a contest on her own site at the end of July, and guess who the guest author is... ME! Woohoo! I'll post more details about that one as I get them. :-)
Gosh, I can't believe July starts this week. June just flew by, don't ya think? The kids have been out of school for a month already. I found out last week that the new school year that was suppose to start on Augus 6th will now be pushed to September 8th. The kids get another entire month off. Wow! It's because of the school system trying to save money. Even though they'll be a month short, they will have to go up to an hour later everyday. Eek! We'll see how that goes.
Well, I better get going. I have laundry to do, book edits to work on, and more writing to contemplate. Oh, did I mention that I got the idea for yet another book right before falling asleep Friday night? Yep, there's another one. LOL. I swear I have enough book idea to last me 12 years now. If only I could find the time to write faster each day. LOL.
Maybe one of these days I'll be able to lock myself away just to write all day. One of these days...
See ya!

Woohoo! Welcome to Friday!
So yesterday was Thursday and Tim was home from work. We spent most of the day here at home, just doing things around the house. My mom had plans to take the girls last night instead of tonight because she has plans for Saturday morning. So we only ran a small errand and made it home before she came for the girls.
As soon as she took the kids, our fun began! Woohoo!
Tim had been working on ribs for our dinner since Wednesday night, and the house smelled like ribs all day yesterday. However, that was just the pre-cooking. LOL.
When we were alone, we took a swim (again, clothing optional, lol.), had some playtime, drank, grilled, ate, had some more playtime, and then it was bedtime at midnight. We were passing out as soon as we were ready for sleepytime. LOL! We had a blast!
Today we'll hang-out until Mom brings the kids home, and then we'll do our Friday errands. We would do it before, but the girls want to go to the library, so we'll wait.
Oh, Tim's wanting my attention. Guess that's it for today! Next week I'll be sharing some pics from our vow renewal preparations. :-)

Wanna Know Wednesday #20
I don't have much to do today. My mom wants the girls tomorrow night instead of Friday night, so Tim wants to go out this evening when he gets home to pick up some ribs for just us to grill tomorrow night. He has his "special seasoning" that he likes to put on everything, and for ribs they have to sit overnight. Works for me! :-)
It looks like today will be another sunny, hot day around here. Which is fantastic for swimming and playing outside! I don't think I'll let Tim swim tonight though. It tires him out far too quickly after he's worked all day. Hell, last night he ended up falling asleep at 8pm! Eek! He was asking me if it was bedtime and the older girls still had two hours 'til their bedtime. LOL. Poor boy. I me him wait until 9:30 and then we went to bed.
That man can pass out in his chair, but if he were to go to bed without me he'd just lay there and toss & turn until I come to bed. LOL. Instead, this night owl tosses and turns for at least an hour on those early nights. At least I don't have to get up at 4am for work though.
Okay, it's time for the 20th edition of Wanna Know Wednesday! This week's topic is:
10 Things I'm Looking Forward to in July
- The 4th of July. I've always loved that holiday.
- Our middle daughter's 9th birthday on the 19th.
- Tim's semen analysis on the 24th. YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!
- Vacation to Tybee Island on the 30th! Yay again!
- My sister just informed me that she's eloping on the 17th (which is also her 27th birthday). Congratulations to her and her man, Dusty!
- Finishing up the current round of edits and rewrites of Time For Death.
- All of the days/nights/weekends I get to spend with my man.
- Starting my next book once edits are done on this one.
- Having veggies big enough to pick from the garden! It's almost time!
- Ooohhh, and the new season of Eureka on SciFi!! I love that show.
Well, that's it for today. I have to go start some laundry and make sure the pool is clean for the kids to enjoy it today. Have a great day everyone! Enjoy it to the fullest whenever possible. :-)

Tuesday.
Yesterday was a pretty productive day. I painted my fingers and toes a nice shade of purple. Later I colored my hair. Decided to go blonde for the summer, but only for the summer. I wrote the July issue of my monthly newsletter and got it all scheduled to go out next week. And I also worked out some details for our vow renewal ceremony with the wedding planner.
Here are a few of the details already hammered out:
We are having the ceremony barefoot on the beach at 4pm on April 9, 2011 with 25 guests. Afterwards, we're having the reception at the Guard House, right off the beach. The reception dinner will be a Low Country Boil. That consists of boiled shrimp, corn on the cob, smoked sausage, and red potatoes. We eat this anytime we're on Tybee anyway, and when it was offered as an option for the reception we definitely wanted it! Yum! We'll have a lovely 2 layer cake, as well.
Now I'm waiting to hear back from her about how many tables the reception will have so that I'll know how many centerpieces I need to make. I still need to hammer out the guest list, but that has time. All of it has been a lot of fun.
There are a lot of small things here and there to decide; some I haven't even thought of, I'm sure. This is why it's absolutely fantastic that we are planning this ahead of time. I have all the time I need to work out every single little detail that I will think of over the next 21 months. I even have a computer file where I'm keeping all of my ideas, pictures, the start to my side of our vow renewal (yes, we're writing our own vows), and little tidbits of information that I don't want to forget.
I'm a planner, as most of you know! LOL.
Well, I better get going. I need to make the girls some breakfast and start getting every dressed. The girls are going to stay with my mom while I go to my cleaning in 2 hours.
Have a great Tuesday!

Monday morning. Welcome!
I was up early this morning. There's something about the feeling of a sleeping house early in the morning. It's so peaceful and quiet. The kids are asleep, the tvs are off, there are no sounds in the house at all. Then we all wake up and the noise level slowly rises.
I woke up from a bad dream at 5:20am and just couldn't settle back down. Tim had already left for work (he had to go in early today), or else I would've just snuggled up next to him and went back to sleep. After 20 minutes of trying to find that peaceful sleep again, I just got up and took a shower to start my day.
The girls didn't start waking up for another hour, so in that time I showered, dress, stripped the bedsheets down, threw them in the washer, collected the other laundry and deposited it in the laundryroom, took my vitamins, folded a load of laundry the oldest had forgotten, and then started a Netflix instant play movie and jumped online.
Just as I started this blog entry, my youngest woke up, said "good morning, Mommy" and then declared that she was going to "watch my shows" in my bedroom. LOL. So now Disney is playing in my bedroom. The older two are still sleeping, for now.
Today's agenda consists of newsletter writing, hashing out the details for my next giveaway, and "Red" is going blonde for the summer today. I haven't been blonde in nearly two years, so I figured it was about time to give it a go for the summertime. I'll go back to red when summer is over. I like the red, but Tim misses the blonde. I think red looks more professional and adult, while blonde shows off my summer tan really well. LOL! Decisions, decisions. ;-)
Ohhhh, I almost forgot! I made the deposit to the wedding planner yesterday for our vow renewal ceremony. We now have our date locked in and it's all about planning from here. Yay! :-) We are very excited.
Well, I suppose I better get started. Even though the baby is awake, the house is still very quiet with the older two asleep. I think I'll get some newsletter work done and go put the sheets in the dryer. I hope that you have a fabulous day. Don't forget to make the best of the new week!

Happy Father's Day!
This morning the girls and I made Tim breakfast. I'd given him strict instructions NOT to leave the bedroom until the girls came to get him. He did just that. We made biscuits, eggs, and sausage and as soon as it was done and his plate was put together the girls ran in screaming "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!" LOL. Luckily he was already awake or they might have scared him half to death.
They showered him with his homemade cards, lots of hugs and kisses, and then we presented him with his grilling apron. It was a hit! He loves it. Of course, secretly he asked me why my handprints weren't in a lover position on the apron. LMAO!! My naughty mind had actually thought about that before we started the handprints, but space confinements didn't allow it to work out like that. LOL. He cracks me up.
After the morning here at home, we went to visit his parents and we all went out for lunch together.
Then back home. :-)
Right now he's out there cleaning the pool for our daily swims. When he's done we'll spend the rest of the day in the pool. For dinner we're doing a Mexican dinner. It's quick and easy so we won't have to get of the pool until we're ready to.
Too bad the weekend is almost over. With him working Thursday it just went by too quickly. Tomorrow is Monday and the start of yet another new week. Last week was all about getting my article quota written and submitted. Well, this new week will consist of getting the July newsletter ready to go, getting the July gveaway all set up and ready, and working on Time For Death edits. Oh, and I have my routine dental cleaning on Tuesday, as well.
It'll be another busy one! LOL.
Well, I hear Tim coming to tell us the pool is ready. Thankfully I already have my swimsuit on. Time to go play. Have a great Sunday all!

Friday and Saturday
So it was more like 9:30 when we left out to do our grocery shopping and errands. We got groceries, bought some pool supplies, went to the bank, and then picked up some lunch and came home. Once home we had lunch, cleaned the pool, and then spent the next several hours. OMG, the water felt sooooo good after this week of 90+ degree days. It was super duper nice!
After swimming, we grilled out steaks and corn on the cob for dinner. Tim and I had some drinks, and we all just kicked back.
It was a very nice day.
Today we have a couple of quick errands that we forgot to do yesterday. It totally slipped our minds to pick up a Father's Day card for Tim's dad. Eek! So we have to run out for that. My dad passed away quite a few years ago, so my focus is always on Tim for Father's Day. It slips my mind for his dad.
Anyway, we'll do some more swimming today, when we get back from town, and we're planning to grill burgers and hotdogs for dinner tonight. Should be good. Tim has them in his yummy marinade already. Yum!
Okay, I'm out. Looks like it's going to be another hot one. I love summer!!!

Alex & Fiona in e-book!
I've been super busy this week. Several errands, lots of article writing, and then I worked halfof yesterday getting all of my Alex & Fiona books into e-book form. Yay! In this economy it certainly makes sense to offer more than just print and Kindle versions. So now, you can enjoy the life of Alex the vampire and Fiona, his beloved werewolf, for only $5 each!
I've posted the links to each e-book on my website on the "Books" page and in the forum under "Announcements". Stop by and check it out. You can get al three books for less than one of them in print form. What a way to save money! :-)
Today I'm going to lounge around and do some vow renewal planning. I have to email the wedding planner today, too. Tim told me yesterday, "This is going to be so much fun!" I love that he's just as excited about this as I am. Well, he should be since he's the one who asked. LOL!
Now I'm off to make some breakfast and start the day. Have a great one!

Just a note!
UPDATE: As of right now, the website is back up. AND the forum has the appropriate background. Woohoo! :-)

Wanna Know Wednesday #19: Father's Day edition!
Yesterday I managed to finish article #5 for the week, and start on #6. Today I will finish 6 and write 7. Then I'm done with articles for the week. Woohoo! That was my goal for the week and I'll definitely complete it today.
I have a few small errands to run this morning here locally. I won't be going more than five minutes away from home. LOL. No need to go further.
Okay, it's Wednesday, and since Father's Day is this coming Sunday, today is the Father's Day edition of my Wanna Know Wednesday. Here's the picture of Tim's apron I promised yesterday......
It was quite difficult to get four sets of hands on it, but we did it. The girls had a blast getting all messy with paint. LOL. Afterwards, they each painted a card for him too. It was a lot of fun and pretty messy. Luckily, everything dried and was put away before he made it home from work. And he even got off work early because he went in early. LOL.
Since this is the Father's Day edition, you will now find:
10 Things I Love About Tim
- He does anything and everything I ask him to do. No matter the reason.
- He cooks for me!! At least when it's warm, and when it's done on a grill. ;-)
- He loves me forever and always.
- He knows exactly what I need 90% of the time (I doubt any man could get 100%).
- He texts me all day long just to see if my day is going well.
- He tells me he loves me many, many times throughout the day.
- He knows how to make me laugh.
- He's a fantastic kisser. ;-)
- He pumps the gas anytime we're out, even if I'm driving.
- He hates to see me cry, and hates even more when it's because of something he can't fix.
- He is a wonderful father and does his best everyday making sure that our girls are safe, smart, cared for, and loved.
Yes, that was eleven, but I had to throw in that last one because, well, it is for Father's Day.
Okay, I'm out for today. I have things to do and money to make. :-) Have a great Wednesday!

Welcome to Tuesday
Let me start off by saying that after many days of back & forth with my web host, the forums are now fixed on my website. Well, the posting part of them is fixed. They still haven't fixed the problem with the bckground changing numerous times a day. Seriously, what's up with that ugly, blue, mechanical-looking background? I'm tired of changing it back over and over. Anyway, the posting works again, so come on by, join up, and post something! :-)
Forums on ChristieSilvers.com
For this week, I had a goal of writing 7. Yesterday I completed 3 1/2 articles, meaning that I only have 3 1/2 left to do now. Yay! I'll definitely finish up the second half of the fourth article today and hopefully get #5 done. Then just two more for tomorrow and DONE! I'm the kind of person who when they have a goal, stops at nothing to reach that goal. I can't help it, it HAS to be done. LOL.
Yesterday morning I took the oldest for an ortho adjustment. Her braces are doing well and she doesn't go back until August 24th for the next adjustment. They said she may get the rubberbands next time. When I had them, my friend and I use to use my rubberbands to flip across classrooms. LOL! Yes, I had a naughty streak, even back then. LOL!
After the ortho appointment, I took the girls to the library. It's fun taking them because they are always amazed at what a selection they hav to choose from. They never know where to begin. I'm glad they like reading as much as I do. They all came home with new books to enjoy.
Today we're going to work on Tim's Father's Day apron. I'll take a picture as soon as it's done and share in tomorrow's blog entry. Hopefully it'll turn out cute. I know he'll like it, and he has no idea what it is because he keeps trying to get me to tell him. LOL. He's not one for surprises. it's not that he doesn't like them. It's just that he's so impatient that he wants to know what it is NOW. LOL. Poor guy will just have to wait on this one. Hell, I let him open his Xbox a week before Christmas. He's out of luck this time. LOL!
Okay, I better get going. We need to start the apron so that it'll be dry enough to hide again when he gets home from work. And he'll be home an hour earlier today! Oh no!!
I'm out! Have a great Tuesday!
.

Welcome to a new week & meet a friend of mine!
For me, there are a lot of plans for this week. First, the girls and I will be working on Tim's Father's Day gift. We need to work on the apron early in the morning so that it'll be dry enough to put back into hiding before he comes home from work. I also need to print out soe cards for the girls to color and decorate. I can't wait for him to see his goodies on Sunday morning!
Next, I have about seven articles to write over the next two to three days. The sooner I get them done, the sooner they are, well... done! I don't enjoy article writing as much as my fiction writing, so I like to get them done quickly, and in batches so I can move on to my other work much faster. Kind of like housecleaning. LOL!
Now on to the "meet a friend of mine" part of the subject line. Introducing Author Robin Renee Ray and her newly released book:
By: Robin Renee Ray
Could you imagine moving to a new country and falling in love, before being brutally attacked and waking in your own coffin? What would you do when you found out it all happened because of a two hundred year old grudge against your forefathers? Would you try to stop the one who was after you, or would you take the love of your life and flee? Danny Gilmore will find himself in this very position when he leaves Scotland and falls in love with the bubbly Texas beauty, D`nae Creel, who ends up being more than just his lover. Danny is being hunted by two individuals – the vampire, Alasdair, and the detective, Grady O’Brian, who unknowingly are hunting each other as well. Both men find favor in D’nae, and both use her as bait to get to Danny… for very different reasons.
My friend is one extaordinary person. Robin is one of the sweetest people you could ever have the luck of meeting. She and I hit it off right away. If I remember correctly (correct me if I'm wrong Robin) she contacted me first because she liked my books, and was considering doing some writing of her own. After that we got to talking and it just evolved from there. :-)
Now lookie here!! She has her very first released book out! I am sooooo happy and proud of her. Click on the book cover to order your very own copy in either paperback or e-book form. She'll be working on a website of her own very soon, but until then you can find her here.
Okay, that's all from me today. I'm off to get some work done and hopefully have a nice day. :-)
UPDATE: Yay! Robin now has a website in the works. It'll take a little while to get it all set up and complete, but here it is anyway. Robin Renee Ray!

Lazy Saturday
Thursday we did our grocery shopping. Yesterday we did some running around and some clothes shopping. Then the girls went to my mom's house last night while Tim and I stayed home, grilled out BBQ ribs, took a clothing optional swim, and had a great time all around.
The girls came home this morning. After lunch we all hopped in the pool and spent the next three hours out there. It was a lot of fun.
Now we're all inside, the clouds are rolling in, and we're hoping that there's no rain planning to ruin our dinner tonight. It's cheddar brawts and hotdogs (the girls don't like the brawts) night. Yum!
Tomorrow, we'll visit with Tim's parents, have lunch with them, and then head back home for him to enjoy the Nascar race. I'll kick the kids to the pool and get some writing done while he's watching the race. :-) It should be a nice day.
I'll be working on several articles in the coming week, so be on the look for them and maybe we can add some more pageviews toward my road to 1 million. Woohoo! One million here we come!!
Lastly for today, I managed to snag my username on Facebook this morning. Now you can easily find me at http://www.facebook.com/christiesilvers if you're on Facebook. :-)
Have a great evening!

Thursday morning/almost afternoon.
Now we're all home. The kids are eating lunch and Tim is taking a catnap on the couch across the room from me. Sometimes I wish I could do that, but I always feel worse after a nap than I did before. I'd rather just stay awake.
We had a big rain storm yesterday afternoon and had to close up the pool after the girls had only been in it for one hour. The youngest was not happy at all. Luckily, the rain stopped and the sun came out just in time to not ruin Tim grilling out for us.
We won't be grilling tonight as I have chicken enchiladas on the menu for this evening. Yum! Tomorrow night though, Mom will have the girls and Tim has plans for bbq ribs on the grill for the two of us. Should be fun since we've never grilled ribs. LOL!
I don't know what we'll do for the rest of today. I guess we'll take the cover back off the pool and throw the kids out there after Tim's nap. Maybe a movie, or something, while they're outside. ;-) I don't know. It's a lazy summer day.
I'm off to help a friend with a book publishing dilemma now. Have a great Thursday!

Wanna Know Wednesday #18
My day started early. The alarm clock went off for Tim to getup, like it always does. I was kind of half in and half out of sleep when he came in to kiss me good-bye. Then he came in again to let me know that his car had a flat tire and he was taking the van to work. After that I couldn't get back into a good sleep. Finally at 8am I gave up and crawled out of bed.
So far in the last hour I've had breakfast, watched the first episode of the new season of Weeds on Netflix, started the dishwasher, and cleared out my tons of emails. Of course I've also been texting with Tim. LOL.
Sooooo, I'll be home all day today. Thankfully the girls did our shopping yesterday. I'm just glad Tim had the option of taking the van now that school is out. Otherwise it would've been a mess since he works an hour away.
Speaking of my loving husband, a friend mentioned that I haven't posted an update on his vasectomy lately. Last Monday marked one month since the procedure. He's perfectly back to normal. No problems, all healed, all in working order, and those 24 "times" we needed to get out of the way by July 24th are all done. LOL! Now we just wait until the twelve weeks are up to have the analysis done to make sure there are no more "boys" swimming around. LOL.
So there, he's all good. I'll post when it's analysis time. We're both looking forward to the All Clear.
Okay, it's that time of the week again. Wanna Know Wednesday! I can't believe that it's been 4 1/2 months of these already. Since I've been talking about the vow renewal, today's topic is:
10 Things That I've Already Decided About the Vow Renewal Ceremony
- The location. Yay Tybee Island!!!
- Our color.
- What kind of dress I want.
- The girls' dresses.
- The flowers
- The fact that we're getting new rings.
- The wedding planner I'm using.
- The reception dinner menu. Yay seafood!!! Yum!
- The guest list is half done.
- Shoes. Or better yet, non-shoes. We'll be barefoot in the sand. :-)
It's been fun making all these decisions and having the time to do it up right. I've decided on a few other things, and still looking at options for many things. This is the ceremony that we wished we'd been able to have the first time. We always thought we'd have a renewal at our 10yr mark, but this is even better.
Well, it's that time of the day. I need to get going and start the laundry and set out the meat to thaw for dinner. Tim is grilling BBQ pork chops tonight.
Have a great day!

Tuesday on the town.
We went to Hobby Lobby and bought all the goodies for Tim's Father's Day gift, and I was going to get some ribbon in the blue color that I want for our vow renewal. However, I couldn't find anything that matched just right. That is, until I was roaming down the cards and gift bags aisle and discovered my color in a packet of gift tissue paper for only 99 cents. YAY!
So now I have something to carry around and match my colors up. Woohoo!
Oh, and my wonderful, bestest, most generous, loving friend, Mis, has agreed to create my invitations for me. For those that don't know, she's the designer of my covers for all three Alex & Fiona books. She's such a true talent! Love ya, girlie!!!
Stop by and check out her image licensing company, MisTaken Art.
After Hobby Lobby, the girls and I were going to go to the mall to look for a new swimsuit for myself. However, I decided to hit K-mart first and then the mall. Turns out that K-mart had just the suit I was looking for AND it was on sale! Yay! I got a $45 suit for only $25. Woohoo!
After that there was no need to go to the mall. The girls and I stopped by the local Sonic to pick up some lunch and then back home. We ate lunch while watching some old episodes of Xena on Netfix instant play through the Xbox. LOL. The oldest is really into Xena and Hercules right now. :-)
I about 20mins we are heading out to the pool. I'm still in need of more sun tanning before it's beach time next month. ;-)
Now I'm off to hide the supplies for Tim's apron until next week.
Have a great day!

Monday in my world.
I started the washer first thing, had some peaches & cottage cheese for breakfast, and then got everyone dressed to take off the trash for this week (I only go once a week if I can help it). Once back home, the girls played some video games, I did computer work, and stayed on the laundry.
The girls are out in the pool right now and I've been looking at wedding stuff for a little while. I've decided on our "color". Turns out the color of our youngest's swimsuit is just what I want. :-)
I love that color and think it's just perfect for a beach ceremony. It's perfect for the water and sky. Should make for beautiful photos too.
It's just no wonder that we decided to do this vow renewal on a beach. We are so happy with our feet in the sand. Tim has begged, pleaded, and tried to figure out a way for us to move down there for the last 5 years. One of these days, baby. One of these days.
I'd love to be able to up and move to Tybee Island. It's just beautiful there. The atmosphere is so laid-back and relaxed. People never seem to be in a hurry, and we've met nothing but the nicest, most pleasant people there, and in Savannah. I'm so excited about the renewal ceremony and the locale!
I've been communicating back and forth with the wedding planner for the last week. She seems super friendly and upbeat. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun working with her.
Well, I hear the kids getting out of the pool. Guess it's time for me to get off of here and deal with a wet kitchen floor from dripping swimsuits. Ah, the joys of summer. :-)
Have a great day!
Sunday, June 7, 2009
Another beautiful day.
Usually we go to the in-laws' house for lunch on Sundays. However, we were suppose to go to a family reunion for Tim's side of the family. He didn't want to go, sooooo, we didn't go. LOL. I'm sure his mother is pretty unhappy with us today, but I don't care since it's not my deal. It's up to Tim when it comes to his side of the family. He said no, and that's that.
I took the free morning to work with the youngest on cleaning and organizing her bedroom. It was a mess, but looks really good now. Yay!
After lunch we sent the kids out to the pool for some fun. Tim wanted to watch the Nascar race in peace and I wanted to finish a chapter in Time For Death. I'm in the editing and rewriting phase and I always, always end up writing new chapters during the process. I have one more new chapter to write and then it's back to the editing.
Anyway, I got one chapter written today and will do the other one tomorrow, the girls have been in the pool for two hours, and Tim is still watching the race at the moment.
I'm about to go out to enjoy the sunshine and listen to the kids beg me to get into the pool. I'm not, since the water is still too cool for my liking after the cool days/nights we had last week. Nope, it ain't happenin'! LOL.
For those who like my dinner choices, tonight we're grilling half a salmon. YUM! Grilled salmon, red potatoes, and green beans. Love it!
I can't believe it's Sunday already. The weekend is over. Tomorrow starts a brand new week full of chores, kids, work, and all the other stuff that I always have to do. I always have a running "to-do" list in my notebook from week to week. I add to it continuously and just mark stuff off as I go. It never ends. LOL.
One thing that I'll be doing on Wednesday is taking the kids to Hobby Lobby in search of Father's Day supplies. I was at a loss for ideas on Father's Day this year. That is, until I was joking with Tim about him needing a special apron for all the grilling he's been doing lately. At first I thought about using Snapfish.com and ordering a photo apron. However, I didn't really like that you can't change what the apron says.
Sooooo, I decided to just make him an apon from the kids and me. We're going to get a blank one, get some iron-on lettering, and some paints when we go to Hobby Lobby. It's going to say, "Our Favorite Griller" and then I'm going to do all four of our handprints, from mine down to the four year old's. Then I'm going to have the girls make cards for him. I've already written something special and private that I'll put in the apron pocket for him to find the first time he wears it. Oh, and we'll make him breakfast that morning like we always do.
Should be a very nice Father's Day for the man of my life. :-) Thank goodness he doesn't read my blog! LOL! And I swear, if any of you family/close friends out there tell him, I'm disowning you forever! Or at least until you make it up to me. ;-)
Okay, that's it for today. I'm heading outside for a while. I'm not a Nascar fan and the cars going around, around, around is boring me.
Have a great Sunday, and week to come. :-)

What a gorgeous Saturday!
This morning I started out by weeding the vegetable garden, then we ran the lines for our green beans, and then I staked up some tomato plants. After that I moved some irises from the front yard to the back. I cleaned the pool and shuddered at the coolness of the water after a day of rain and a cool, windy day yesterday. After lunch, the girls begged to get in the pool. I let them, but refused to join them. LOL!
Tim did a lot of weedeating before he joined them in the freezing cold water. I took that time to relax in the nearby hammock and stared off into the lovely blue skies.
It has been wonderful.
Right now we're inside getting ready to make dinner in an hour. Tonight, Tim is grilling steaks (we have grilled cheddar brawts last night, yum!). I'll be making deviled eggs, baked beans, and salads for everyone inside. Should be a great dinner!
The picture above is of my view from the hammock. The sky is beautiful. Below you will find the youngest swimming and my feet enjoying the relaxation time. ;-)
That's it for today! I'm off to make a pitcher of alcoholic drinks and start boiling the eggs. I hope you've had abeautiful Saturday.

Thursday with some rain.
Anyway, this morning Tim and I woke up a little after 7am and went out to work on the pool before rain moved into the area. Luckily, the rain held off until after lunchtime and we were able to get the pool fixed up. We might be able to swim tomorrow if it's not raining. *Fingers Crossed*
In the process of fixing the pool, we had to make a trip to Lowe's. While there I got stakes for the beans in my vegetable garden. They are definitely big enough for running line(s) now as they are trying to twine around the cucumber plants. LOL. NO! Bad beans! Leave the cucumbers alone. Shame, shame.
Once home we all had lunch, Tim and I hung outside until the rain started, and the girls were playing quietly in their bedrooms. Sooooo, Tim and I were able to sneak off to our room for a while. LOL!
Now Tim is trying to teach our oldest how to play Halo on the Xbox, after a failed attempt at Gears of War. LOL. It doesn't seem to be working out to their advantage. However, it is quite humorous to watch.
Tonight is Taco Night in the Silvers house. No grilling out tonight, but definitely something easy and yummy. Besides, with the rain there would be no point in trying to grill.
Hmmm, I guess that's about it for today. Oh, did I mention that I've moved the my forum from Yahoo to my website? Just hop on over to the website and register to post in the forums. I'll be deleting the Yahoo group entirely in a few days. :-)
Tomorrow I'll have the regular Friday errands to run. I doubt I'll be posting unless I find a free moment to do so. However, I'm always posting on Facebook, so pop over and friend me anytime. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Wanna Know Wednesday #17
Yesterday was a nice day around here. The kids spent a while in the pool and I was able to get a good amount of writing done in that time. Then after they came back inside I went out for some sunbathing. There's something about laying there, sweating your ass off, and no one is around to disturb you. I love it!
Then after that, the youngest and I jumped into the pool and had a swim. I came inside afterwards with a very nice tan line. Gotta get that tan before beach vacation time. Don't wanna be the only one out there all white and pasty from the winter jeans and long sleeves. LOL!
Today I don't have any plans. That's the fun of summer break! Last night Tim grilled out burgers for dinner and the chicken for tonight's Mexican dinner. Yum! So I don't even have to cook tonight. Gosh, I absolutely love that man. I love when he cooks for me.
Okay, let me get into theWanna Know Wednesday list. This week's topic is..........
10 Things I Love About Summer
- Less clothing.
- No bulky shoes.
- Flip-Flops.
- Swimming pools.
- The beach!
- Suntans.
- No schedule.
- Hummingbirds tapping at my windows.
- Fresh vegetables.
- Painted toe nails.
Summer is the all-time best time of the year. The sun is shining, plants are growing, pools are full of happy, squealing kids, and I get to go to the beach. Woohoo!
Well, I better get going on the day. The kids will be begging to go out after lunchtime and I'm not going to stop them. LOL. I'll do some writing and then see what happens. :-)
Have a great Wednesday!
